Ubisoft hosting mysterious Assassin’s Creed event next Wednesday
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, News | 0 comments

Ubisoft is sending out mysterious invitations for some sort of Assassin’s Creed event taking place next week. MCV writes on Twitter that the invite lists a February 27 date, which would be next Wednesday.
Might it be time for the reveal of Ubisoft’s next Assassin’s Creed game? During the company’s latest financial call, CEO Yves Guillemot teased that information would be shared “very soon”.
Not much is known about the next Assassin’s Creed. What we do know is that it will feature a new hero and time setting, and is being developed by an “all new team”.
The next Assassin’s Creed will launch before April 2014.
“Dark Phoenix” could have been in Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 0 comments

A new Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney art book is now available. The product launched in Japan last week.
One of the book’s pages contains a rather interesting illustration. It seems that “Dark Phoenix” was initially considered for the 3DS game, but didn’t make the final cut for some reason.
I wonder… what other secrets does this art book hold?
[Video Feature] Eggbusters “Beta” Episode – Super Mario 64
Posted on 12 years ago by Austin(@NE_Austin) in Features, Videos | 0 comments

Before you watch the next episode I want to say two things:
1) A massive thank you to Andrew Nixon, who drew this wonderful picture of me literally busting eggs! It was a great surprise to wake up to this morning, and you all should see quite a bit more of it going forward. With any luck I can convince him to draw us up a logo when the episodes “officially” begin around episode 10. Right, Andrew!?
2) I did one of those cheap split-the-episode-in-two things to try and get people to watch both halves, but after seeing how it turned out I think I’ll just stick with the one-glitch-per-part thing I’ve done in the past. So if you’re going to complain about that, don’t– it has already been nixed. :]
Enjoy!
Part two after the break!
Studio Gobo working on Disney Infinity’s Pirates of the Caribbean playset
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News, Wii, Wii U | 0 comments
Disney Infinity isn’t being entirely made by Avalanche Software. There’s at least one other studio assisting on the project as well.
On Facebook, Studio Gobo posted a message confirming its involvement with the project. Gobo has been assigned to handle the Pirates of the Caribbean playset.
The notice in full:
“If you see any boats or pirates — that’s the bit that we are working on at Gobo. We’re responsible for the Pirates of the Caribbean playset in Disney Infinity. Very proud.”
Could Gobo be working on other playsets along with Pirates? And might there be other studios developing Disney Infinity?

Capcom on Revelations HD’s improved visuals, reasoning for re-release

Some may think of Resident Evil: Revelations’ console release as a port, but there is a healthy amount of new content in the game. Users will be able to play as Hunk in Raid mode (which also has new weapons), take on a new enemy type, and experience a tougher difficulty level.
Capcom has also touched up the game’s visuals significantly. Resident Evil: Revelations Tsukasa Takenaka told Joystiq:
“The models have been almost completely redone, the lighting filters, those kind of effects that consoles can do, has been redone from scratch and it’s definitely something where we’ve made the game into something that’s a whole new version for consoles.”
