In what will undoubtedly be the most important news of the night, there’s a clip floating around of Michelle Obama being told what a Wii U is. She had no idea what the console is and how it differs from a Wii before a visiting child explained it to her.
Maybe this is what the ZombiU dev team was teasing

Edit: Valay says I would know more about it than he… but unfortunately I’ve yet to find the zombie that the dev team speaks of! A map showed up on Miiverse a few hours ago but I’ve been unable to find it since, so in the meantime I’ll just wander around. If I find it I’ll let everyone know what it was.
The development team behind ZombiU was recently teasing… something for the game. We weren’t quite sure what was planned, but some players may have come across the surprise.
After returning to the location where the original message was found, the following appears:
And after scanning the text, this shows up:
So, basically, it sounds like you’ll receive some extra/unique loot by taking down this zombie. Austin would probably know about this better than myself!

How HAL’s name is connected to IBM
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, News, Podcast Stories | 0 comments
There is an amazing little video game fact buried in the ZombiU Iwata Asks that has gone unnoticed, for the most part.
Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata, formerly the president of HAL, revealed how the company was named after IBM. He said that “HALÂ was named as such because each letter put us one step ahead of IBM”.
Here’s the relevant blurb from the discussion:
Iwata:
I feel like we were thinking in just the same way, but in totally different countries. (Laughs) I also started from a very small software development company.
Yves:
We were inspired to aim big by the small yet dynamic world that was the early days of the gaming industry.
Iwata:
We were exactly the same in that sense. Ubisoft was named after Ubiquity because you wanted to be everywhere in the world and HALÂ was named as such because each letter put us one step ahead of IBM! (Laughs)
007 Legends cancelled for Australia, three Wii U games delayed

The Wii U is getting off to a rough start in Australia.
First and foremost, Activision has cancelled the release of 007 Legends in the continent. It’s currently unclear why and how this decision was reached.
Other disappointing Wii U news concerns the delay of three games: NBA 2K13, Epic Mickey 2: Power of Two and Marvel Avengers: The Battle for Earth. 2K’s basketball title will be out early next year while Epic Mickey 2 and Marvel Avengers will launch on December 13.
