Jools Watsham is pleased with the reception for Mutant Mudds thus far.

The Renegade Kid co-founder tweeted yesterday:

“It has been an incredible week for #MutantMudds. The reception has been wonderful. It bodes well for the future of eShop. Onto the next…”

Watsham didn’t specify if he was referring to reviews, sales, or both. Mutant Mudds has been a hit among critics, and it does seem to be doing well thus far on the eShop charts. Hopefully its success will continue in the future.

Darksiders II arrives for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC in June. It’s also due out for the launch of Wii U, which is set for release this holiday season.

Since the Wii U version will be arriving a few months later, one has to wonder how it will be different than the PS3/360/PC edition. The tablet controller will surely be used in a variety of ways, and the visuals may see a slight improvement. What about exclusive content, though?

Nintendo Power was curious about this, and quizzed Darksiders II producer Ryan Stefanelli about the possibility. When asked if Vigil is planning exclusive content for the Wii U version, Stefanelli said, “My lips are sealed.”

That sounds like a small tease, but at this point, it’d be best not to blow Stefanelli’s terse comment out of proportion.

Resident Evil: Revelations hit Japan last week and managed to sell nearly 150,000 in its first week. That was based on less than a week’s worth of data.

Data collected by ASCII reveals that Revelations had a sell-through rate of 75%. It sounds like the title is off to a great start thus far!

Solutions 2 Go will publish Boulder Dash-XL 3D for the 3DS next month. We don’t have a final release date, but it seems as though the title will be released sometime in March. I assume it’s based on the title made by Catnip Games last year.
