Everyone seems to be talking about the metaverse these days (for better or for worse), which is funny because there’s no unanimous consensus as to what it even is! Is it the future of gaming, the future of work, the future of buzzwords… or maybe, just maybe, the future of Mario? What could Nintendo’s presence in the metaverse look like – or should they even bother? Join your hosts Nick, Nicolas and Luiz as they (attempt to) answer these non-fungible questions. They’ll also discuss the legacy of Wave Race 64 (which was just added to Switch Online’s Expansion Pack), a mysterious Nintendo adaptive controller, new claims of workplace misconduct at Nintendo of America, and more.

Those that plan to pick up Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival physically on Switch next month might be interested to know about a new pre-order bonus from GameStop.

Best Buy and GameStop are both planning an pre-order bonus for Sonic Frontiers. And as it turns out, the gift is technically the same. The two retailers are providing a steelbook, though the design varies depending on the store you go with.

Sonic Frontiers Digital Deluxe Edition detailed

SEGA has shared details about a Digital Deluxe Edition for Sonic Frontiers that will be available when the game launches later this year.
The Digital Deluxe Edition contains the Explorer’s Treasure Box, which includes useful items for your adventure. Players will receive Amy’s Memory Tokens, a Portal Gear, Chaos Emerald Vault Keys, Additional Gloves & Shoes for Sonic, and a Digital Art Book with a 25-track digital mini soundtrack.

Return to Monkey Island release date set for September, new trailer

Return to Monkey Island has received a final release date on Switch. The sequel to the classic adventure game will launch on September 19, 2022, publisher Devolver Digital and developer Terrible Toybox confirmed today.

Team17, SMG Studio, and Devm Games have announced Moving Out 2, and it’s coming to Switch. A release is planned for 2023.
The original Moving Out released in 2020. It is currently available on Switch as both a physical and digital release.
