Freedom Planet 2 physical

After a previous Nintendo eShop launch, Freedom Planet 2 is now going physical on Nintendo Switch. Limited Run Games will be handling this one.

Freedom Planet 2 will be sold standalone as well as through a Classic Edition. If you buy the latter, you’ll also get pins of all four heroines, a double-sided poster, and a CD soundtrack, all in a deluxe plastic case.

The Plucky Squire update Streamlined Mode

The Plucky Squire just went live with a new update that brings along a new Streamlined Mode.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection games list

Konami has now come forward with the full games list for Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection. This information was published in a Nintendo eShop listing that just went live in Japan.

Some of these games were known previously. However, some are entirely new. In total fans will gain access to fourteen titles from the Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance.

Pokemon, Aardman

Today, The Pokemon Company and Aardman announced that they’re teaming up on a new project. This will be coming to audiences in 2027.

Details about the project are light at the moment. It’s only been said that the “collaboration will see Aardman bringing its unique style of storytelling to the Pokémon universe in brand-new adventures.”

Phantom Breaker Battle Grounds Ultimate opening movie

Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds Ultimate is just a couple of months away, and Rocket Panda Games just shared the opening movie.

The main theme is composed by all girl J-rock band. Also featured are vocals from Japanese voice actress Mai Sato‬.

Nintendo just shared a new overview trailer for Donkey Kong Country Returns HD. The video introduces the general premise, gameplay, and more.

The Cub physical

Meridiem is planning a physical edition of The Cub on Nintendo Switch, the company has announced. Known as Back to Earth Edition, it will be available on March 13, 2025.

The Cub will come with extras aside from the game itself. Buyers will receive a special artwork case, a digital copy of the soundtrack, and an art book with concept work from the developers.

Nintendo already owned an overwhelming stake in Monolith Soft, but that number has now increased to 100%.

That news comes directly from the company’s website. The site now states that Nintendo fully owns the company. Previously, the stake amount was known to be at 96%. Founders Hirohide Sugiura, Tetsuya Takahashi, and Yasuyuki Honne held the last 4% previously.

Today, Hamster confirmed Viper Phase 1 as its latest Arcade Archives game on Nintendo Switch. It’ll be available everywhere tomorrow, December 12.

The vertical scrolling shooter was originally released by Seibu in 1995. This release of the title marks the first time it has been released on a home game console, and will feature both the old version and the remastered, arranged version.

The game will be sold digitally on the Switch eShop. Pricing is set at $7.99 / €6.99 / £6.29. Access more coverage on the Arcade Archives series here.
