The matchmaking simulator Love, Ghostie, developed and published by Janbeh Games, has just been announced for Nintendo Switch. The game is set to arrive on the console on October 1.

Players take on the role of Ghostie, a matchmaking ghost whose job is to help the villagers find love. With 12 villagers to interact with and 66 unique stories to uncover, there’s plenty of romance, and mischief, awaiting in this charming adventure.

A new indie game is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch, with Conradical Games announcing their latest title, Wanted Shadows: Unchained. It will be available in Q4 this year.

Wanted Shadows: Unchained is a standalone reimagining of 2023’s Wanted Shadows. Rebuilt from the ground up, it features tighter arenas, a deeper progression system, and a hub that expands the game’s world. Players will fight for survival in compact, high-intensity arenas where every move matters. Unlock permanent weapons, discover upgrade synergies, and push your limits as you face increasingly challenging enemies.

Maximum Entertainment, together with ZEROlife Games and Fishing Cactus, has just announced its latest title for Nintendo Switch. Samurai Academy: Paws of Fury is set to launch on the console on November 20. A physical edition of the game will also be available later this year.

In the game, players join Hank, Jimbo, and their allies on a new journey that can be experienced solo or in two-player co-op. Just as peace seemed within reach, the fearsome Shogun returns, leading an army of feline warriors intent on laying waste to entire villages. It’s up to the heroes to protect the villagers, defend settlements, and reclaim the island one battle at a time.

Mega Malamar Pokemon Legends Z-A

Another Mega Evolution reveal has just taken place for Pokemon Legends: Z-A, with the game now confirming Mega Malamar.

We’ve seen a number of other Mega Evolutions as well. Mega Dragonite was the first new one, but since then Mega Victreebel and Mega Hawlucha have also been announced.

September 2025 Nintendo Direct

A new Nintendo Direct presentation will take place on Friday, September 12, it’s just been announced. It will air at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET / 2 PM in the UK / 3 PM in Europe. This will last about 60 minutes, covering games for both Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch.

This will be the first general Nintendo Direct of the Nintendo Switch 2 era. While we did see a broadcast earlier this summer, it was a Partner Showcase focused on third-parties.

Planet of Lana 2

June 8: Planet of Lana 2: Children of the Leaf is in the works for Nintendo Switch, Thunderful and Wishfully revealed today. The two sides did not comment on release timing.

Planet of Lana 2 builds on the previous game, which previously landed on Nintendo Switch. Lana and Mui will continue to uncover the mysterious past of their planet.

Arcade Archives Video Hustler

Another Arcade Archives game is bound for Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch, with Hamster preparing Video Hustler. It’ll be out for both systems tomorrow, September 11.

Konami was behind the original release, which happened in 1981. This is a fairly straightforward take on pool.

The Fable Manga Build Roguelike release date

Thanks to Kodansha and Mono Entertainment, the release date for The Fable: Manga Build Roguelike is now in. The game is planned for November 5, 2025 on Nintendo Switch.

The Fable: Manga Build Roguelike was first revealed about a year ago. Up until now, only a general 2025 launch window had been provided.

Nintendo and The Pokemon Company have jointly secured a patent involving summoning a character and letting it fight another. It’s reminiscent of what we see in Pokemon games where players can send creatures out to battle.

A few days ago the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) approved the filing, which is for Patent No. 12,403,397. This also ties in with a separate patent (No. 12,409,387) related to the “smooth switching of riding objects” mechanism.
