ConcernedApe has provided sales figures for Stardew Valley, including specific data for Nintendo Switch.
Usually when we hear about sales figures for games, it’s based on performance across all consoles. We do know that 41 million copies have been sold in total. However, on Nintendo Switch specifically, ConcernedApe confirms that 7.9 million units have been sold on the platform.

December 5: The Mario & Luigi: Brothership name has been well-received by fans, but it seems that it wasn’t an easy process to get there.
Associate producer Tomoki Fukushima and producer Akira Otani spoke about this in a new interview published today. It turns out that Nintendo and Acquire brainstormed over 100 possible names for Mario & Luigi: Brothership. Also shared is that both the west and Japan are using the same title for the first time.

Mario & Luigi: Brothership devs explain change in composers, finding ‘Mario-ness’ following Miyamoto feedback

The developers of Mario & Luigi: Brothership have opened up about what it was like creating music for the game, including shifting composers from Yoko Shimomura to Hideki Sakamoto and some initial feedback from Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto. This information comes from a Famitsu interview with director Haruyuki Ohashi and producer Akira Otani.
Shimomura previously handled music for the series previously. However, with the franchise seeing various changes including Acquire taking on development, Otani said they “decided to get a fresh start”.

Sonic movie voice actor wants Smash Bros. movie

Ben Schwartz, the voice of Sonic the Hedgehog in the movies, has spoken about his desire to get involved with a Super Smash Bros. crossover movie.
Schwartz shared his comments in an interview with Variety. He was asked about Sonic crossovers he’d like to see, and the outlet brought up the Mario & Sonic series.

December 26: X user NextHandheld has shared a photo that could give us a first look at the dock for Nintendo Switch 2.
NextHandheld first posted a picture the main unit yesterday. That initially set off debate as to whether or not it was real, and if it was AI generated. Even so, it wasn’t entirely new as there have been various unconfirmed photo leaks previously from third-party accessory makers.
