A few screenshots have come in showing off the new Spy Gear for Splatoon 2 in-game. Get a look at the images in the gallery below.

Currently, this gear can only be obtained through CoroCoro. The Japanese magazine is offering a serial code to redeem the content in its latest issue.

Several months ago, Digital Continue and Aspyr announced Next Up Hero for Switch. The eShop now provides a release date: August 16.

Next Up Hero is described as “a dungeon crawler featuring hand-drawn heroes that hack, slash, bongo-drum, boomerang, and jet their way through Ventures.” Players can choose a Hero, setting up gear, maxing out stats, and playing co-op with a friend.

Super Neptunia RPG

At Japan Expo 2018 a few weeks ago, Super Neptunia RPG was playable on Switch. We have some off-screen footage from the playable demo below.

This week, The Escapists 2 received an update on Switch. Along with various fixes and Japanese language support, The Glorious Regime DLC map is now available.

Ubisoft

Back in June, a rating for Legendary Fishing popped up in South Korea. It was an indication that Ubisoft would be bringing the game to Switch soon.

Thanks to Amazon, we have first details. Legendary Fishing is an arcade-style fishing game with Career mode, multiplayer, optional motion controls, and more.

Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion

A year after Splatoon 2 originally launched, Nintendo issued the first paid DLC for Splatoon 2. Players are able to get their hands on Octo Expansion for more single-player fun.

Where did the idea for Octo Expansion come from and what was behind the decision to release the DLC? In an interview with InsideGamer, producer Hisashi Nogami explained:

This week, Famitsu has some of the first coverage of Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth. That includes an interview with Daisuke Kanada, who directed the last game and is producer on this title.

Bethesda has started to increase its Switch output more and more. At QuakeCon yesterday, we learned that Doom Eternal would be on Nintendo’s console. That’s notable as it’s looking like the Switch version will be out alongside other versions when development wraps up at some point in the future.

Another game on Bethesda’s slate is Rage 2. Platforms have already been announced, though Switch isn’t among them – not yet anyway. However, that could potentially change in the future.
