A major update is about to be distributed for the Switch version of Slay the Spire. Mega Crit Games announced today that version 2.0, highlighted by The Watcher, launches on March 23.

The Watcher is one of the newest characters for Slay the Spire. “She brings her training in the divine stances and a seeing staff to cast judgment upon the wicked Spire spawn,” Mega Crit says. The Watcher has a unique set of cards as well as several relics.

That’s not all for version 2.0. The update also contains new potions, balance changes, reworks, bug fixes, performance improvements, and more.

We’ve included the boxart for Slay the Spire above. The physical version is tentatively slated for October 25.

A new update for Slay the Spire is now available. Mega Crit Games has issued version 1.02, which is focused on bug fixes.

The full patch notes are as follows:

Two Switch eShop titles could be getting the physical treatment. Over on Amazon Spain, A Hat in Time (which hasn’t been released yet) and Slay the Spire have been given new listings. U&I Entertainment is said to be the publisher / distributor.

It’s unclear if Amazon Spain’s listings are accurate. The site does have odd pages up such as Steep and a physical version of BoxBoy! + BoxGirl!, which we’re pretty sure aren’t happening. Having said that, there’s a good chance that the pages for A Hat in Time and Slay the Spire are legitimate. We’ll let you know if we receive any official updates.
