Square Enix shares TGS 2025 lineup

TGS 2025 is coming quick at the end of the month, and now Square Enix has unveiled its lineup for the show.
Most Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 games in the lineup will be available with hands on demos. The only titles for the platforms without demos will be Dragon Quest X Online, and Octopath Traveler 0.

Visual Novel Dusk Index: Gion coming to Nintendo Switch

Dusk Index: Gion is making its way to Nintendo Switch. Publisher Bushiroad have just announced a release date of January 29, 2025, with Japan receiving a physical release.
Dusk Index: Gion is a visual novel developed by Cherrymochi. The title takes place between two ages of Japan, and revolves around a murder case linked between both periods.

Nintendo Classics Switch Online GBA app adds new functionality

The Nintendo Classics Switch Online app has now been updated, and new features have been added in. Note that you’ll need to download and install version 3.0.0.
The main addition is that button remapping is now supported. That means if you’re unhappy with the setup for a particular game, you can rearrange things to your heart’s content. Button mapping was added to the Nintendo Classics SNES app not too long ago as well.

Taito shares QQQbeats release date on Nintendo Switch, new trailer

Today, Taito nailed down the release date for QQQbeats. The game will be out for Nintendo Switch worldwide on September 18, 2025.
We originally reported on QQQbeats back in July. Taito originally said that its new rhythm game would be out sometime this fall.

Cronos: The New Dawn is almost here, and we now have a graphics comparison for the Nintendo Switch 2 and PS5 versions of the game.
It’s clear that certain changes were needed in order to get things up and running on Nintendo’s hardware. Both resolution and frame rate are lower on the system, which is to be expected. While it’s not 60 frames per second, an initial look seems to show that things are stable at 30 FPS on Nintendo Switch 2. Otherwise we also get a resolution of 1080p that’s upscaled.

A new update is available for Easy Come Easy Golf with the game receiving version 1.9.8.
A big addition is the inclusion of a frame rate option. Players can now select a 60 FPS mode, which will be especially helpful if playing on Nintendo Switch 2. Other improvements and adjustments are included such as better load times.

Red Deer Games, in collaboration with Destructive Creations, has announced that the real-time tactics title War Mongrels will be released on Nintendo Switch on September 16.
Set on the Eastern Front of World War II, the game features a dark narrative that begins with two characters before others join the group, each bringing their own unique abilities. Players will need to manage their team carefully, selecting the right members for missions that involve sabotage, stealing documents, taking down enemies, and even helping civilians.

May 3: Limited Run Games and Ancient today confirmed that Earthion will be launching on Nintendo Switch. The title is slated for 2025.
Earthion, a shoot ’em up game that has been in development for a few years now, comes from composer and developer Yuzo Koshiro and his studio Ancient. Koshiro originally started out at Nihon Falcom working on soundtracks for games like Ys, but has since contributed to tons of different projects such as Super Smash Bros., Kid Icarus: Uprising, Streets of Rage, Etrian Odyssey, and so much more.

Disney Dreamlight Valley reveals Wishblossom Ranch DLC expansion, showcase in October

Gameloft shared the latest on Disney Dreamlight Valley today with the game set to receive a brand new Wishblossom Ranch DLC expansion.
The DLC will feature new Biomes, new friends, and a new way to explore. Players will encounter Snow White, Tinker Bell, and Maximus. There’ll also be horseback riding with full customization options.
