Posted on 10 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U eShop | 0 comments
Actos Games has confirmed plans to launch Psyscrolr on the Wii U eShop this fall.
Jonathan Meyer, founder of the studio, shared the news on Twitter:
@polygon @nintendolife @GoNintendoTweet #psyscrolr is coming later this fall for Wii U! Here's our promo poster: pic.twitter.com/yPkzxJdn99

Here’s an overview of the game shared a couple of months ago:
Welcome to the world of psyscrolr, a tale of a young man outcast from his society by gaining powers he never wanted or had. The Scrolr, which is the main character, must find his way through the beautiful landscapes while solving puzzles, fighting enemies, and uncovering the truth of his world while being hunted by the Magi; a sect of wizards who wish to put an end to the Scrolr’s new powers.
Utilizing the Wii U GamePad, interact with the world directly as you make contact from your world to the Scrolr’s world. Move objects, shoot fireballs, block hits… the touch is your greatest weapon.

“Super Mario Spikers” from Next Level Games is a cancelled Wii concept
Posted on 10 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii, Wii U eShop | 32 Comments
Next Level Games has dabbled with the combination of Mario and sports in the past. Super Mario Strikers launched for GameCube, while Mario Strikers Charged came out for Wii. Next Level Games also created an idea for a third project at one point: “Super Mario Spikers”.
Super Mario Spikers would have been a new game for Wii featuring a mixture of volleyball/wrestling gameplay. Development never actually began, and the idea was canned soon after the initial phases of conceptualization.
