Retro Studios hiring programmer for enemies and bosses
Posted on 10 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, News | 9 Comments
In news that is far from shocking, Retro Studios’ next game will probably have enemies and bosses. Of course, this should be hardly surprising given the company’s previous titles.
Retro Studios put up a job listing earlier today for an AI engineer, who “develops, writes and debugs code for video game software and tools with a specific focus on AI programming for enemies & bosses and various other game-play systems as required.”
So yes, expect enemies and bosses in Retro Studios’ next game, whatever it may be.

Mario Kart 8’s Super Horn can appear when you’re in first place
Posted on 10 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U | 1 Comment
I thought this might be a sort of obvious feature, though perhaps not to all. In any case, yes: you can find the new Super Horn item in Mario Kart 8 even if you’re in first place. It should help to occasionally take out some of the frustration players have when they’re leading the race, only to be done in by the blue shell.

BLOK DROP U update now available
Posted on 10 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U eShop | 0 comments
BLOK DROP U’s update is now available, though the manner in which you obtain it is a bit complicated.
You’ll first need to delete the game from your system/hard drive. After that, re-download BLOK DROP U from the eShop.
RCMADIAX says it’s looking into the issue, as updating Wii U games is usually easier.
#BLOKDROPU Update is now LIVE, but it seems you have to delete and re-download from the eShop. Investigating the issue.

Cult County Kickstarter ends unsuccessfully, Renegade Kid “discussing other options”
Posted on 10 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U eShop | 6 Comments
Renegade Kid’s Kickstarter for Cult County ended today, and the campaign was, sadly, unsuccessful. Only $46,736 was raised out of the $580,000 total.
So what’s next? Renegade Kid co-founder said on Twitter that the studio will now look towards “other options.”
Watsham wrote on Twitter:
Cult County kickstarter has ended. 1492 wonderful backers pledged $46,736. Thank you! We did not reach goal. Now discussing other options.
