The latest UK software sales chart for the week ending August 24, 2024 is now available.

This week’s delay comes a bit later following the bank holiday, but there’s not too much excitement this time around. The top two spots remain unchanged – EA Sports FC 24 is still at the top with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe right behind. A number of Switch exclusives are also scattered throughout.

Switch Blockbuster Sale

Nintendo has rounded up a bunch of third-party games as part of a new Switch Blockbuster Sale on the eShop that just went live.

A wide arrange of games are on sale. Capcom Fighting Collection, GTA: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, and Persona 5 Royal are  just some of the included titles.

Assault Suits Valken Declassified physical

Limited Run Games announced a physical release of Assault Suits Valken Declassified today, and is also now taking pre-orders.

Assault Suits Valken Declassified is being sold standalone, but there’s also a Classic Edition available. The latter includes a copy of the game, retro box, soundtrack, and art cards.

Guilty Gear Strive Switch

August 28: Guilty Gear Strive appears to be getting a new Nintendo Switch Edition. Advertising for the game was just spotted at PAX West 2024 before the start of the event – meaning an official announcement should be imminent.

PAX officially begins on Friday. That means we should be getting an announcement by the weekend at the latest.

Techno Banter

Today, publisher Crunching Koalas and developer Dexai Arts announced that Techno Banter is heading to Switch. A release is planned for Q4 2024.

Techno Banter is a techno-infused bouncer simulator. You’ll play as the bouncer of the Green Door club and be given different challenges each night.

Zelda Echoes of Wisdom Still World, Swordfighter Form

Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom just received its latest trailer showing off the Still World and revealing the Swordfighter Form.

We’ve previously seen rifts in Hyrule, and Zelda will be able to enter those with the help of Tri. In the Still World, various objects and beings swallowed by the rift will appear – and there’s the threat of them vanishing completely. Zelda will need to traverse broken terrain, and players can use echoes to move forward. Dungeons and bosses are also confirmed for the Still World.

Volgarr the Viking II Live and Let Die update 1.1

Volgarr the Viking II launched not too long ago, and it’s soon coming out with its first big update known as “Live and Let Die”, or version 1.1.

Undead Mode is seeing a revamp and a new checkpoint feature is being introduced. Things also wouldn’t be complete without some bug fixes.

The final release date for Nimbusfall was shared for Switch today. It’ll be available on September 12, 2024, publisher DevilishGames and GodziPixel confirmed.

Nimbusfall was originally announced for Switch this past April. It was said at the time that the game would be available “soon”.
