SpeedRunners 2: King of Speed announced for Nintendo Switch

SpeedRunners 2: King of Speed is in development for Nintendo Switch, publisher tinyBuild and developer Fair Play Labs revealed today. The game launches on the console in 2026.
SpeedRunners first came out way back in 2016 and is currently available on Nintendo Switch. The sequel hopes to build on what made the original so successful, but is now bringing along high-definition graphics and improved netcode.

Planet of Lana Nintendo Switch physical release in the works

Super Rare Games today shared that it’s partnering with Thunderful on a physical release of Planet of Lana for Nintendo Switch.
The game will be available in the form of 4,000 standard copies and 1,000 Deluxe Editions. Those that opt for the latter will receive a 64-page hardcover artbook with concept art and dev insights, Mui enamel pin, A3 poster, sticker sheet with seven stickers, a full-color manual, SRG sticker, and full set of trading cards. Everything is housed in a premium clamshell box.

Spirit Hunter: Death Mark gains Chapter 7 Kaerazu’s Amusement Park DLC years after the original game’s launch

Many years after the game first launched, Spirit Hunter: Death Mark just received brand new DLC with Chapter 7 Kaerazu’s Amusement Park. After buying the new content, players will need to install a version 1.02 update.
The DLC offers a different perspective on events from the original Spirit Hunter horror visual novel. We first saw the game in 2018, meaning the DLC comes around seven years later.

Nintendo confirms physical Switch 2 Editions have everything on the cartridge, no downloads

Following recent confusion, Nintendo has clarified that its Switch 2 Editions will contain everything on their cartridges, meaning no extra download will be required for the games.
We first heard from a UK customer support representative that these titles would have their content and features available as a download. However, a different representative later indicated otherwise. If a download had been required, physical Switch 2 Editions would essentially be Switch 1 games on the actual cartridge.

Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition getting Nintendo Switch Online icons

March 19: Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition is almost here (or is already here depending on your region), and to tie in with the launch, new icons are going up on Nintendo Switch Online. The first set should be made available later today in North America (or early tomorrow in Europe).
The game will be featured on the service over the next few weeks. Fans can obtain characters, backgrounds, and frames based on the game. Characters cost 10 Platinum Points each on My Nintendo. Everything else goes for 5 Platinum Points each.
