Neptunia Riders VS Dogoos release date

September 24: Today, Idea Factory shared the release window for Neptunia Riders VS Dogoos in the west. Switch players in North America and Europe can get their hands on the game starting in January 2025. An exact date will be provided later.

Also confirmed today is that Neptunia Riders VS Dogoos will be offering a Deluxe Edition. The latter includes the digital game, digital art book (35 pages), soundtrack (ten tracks), and Costume Set offering a costume per set for Uzume Neptune, Noire, Blanc, and Vert (swimsuit, apocalyptic, and race queen). Note that the Costume Set will also be available as a standalone DLC on launch.

There are a few shifts this week with Hogwarts Legacy taking the top spot. In terms of Nintendo Switch exclusives, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is still the game that’s charting the highest.

Retro Studios music RPG

At one point in time, Retro Studios apparently had a project in development as a music RPG.

The company shipped Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze on Wii U in 2014. After that, there was essentially a decade-long gap without a new game from Retro Studios. Tropical Freeze was ported to Nintendo Switch a few years ago and Metroid Prime Remastered dropped in 2023, but outside of that, nothing made it to market.

Freedom Wars Remastered

September 17: Freedom Wars Remastered is in development for Switch, Bandai Namco just revealed. A release is planned for January 10, 2025.

Freedom Wars originally came to the PlayStation Vita in 2014. Sony published the original version, but the publisher has shifted to Bandai Namco this time around.

Carmen Sandiego release date

The previously-announced reboot of Carmen Sandiego just secured a release date. Gameloft will be bringing it out on March 4, 2025.

The upcoming title was previously revealed last September. Gameloft initially shared a Q1 2025 launch window.

Emio Smiling Man Famicom Detective Club approval

According to Emio – The Smiling Man: Famicom Detective Club producer Yoshio Sakamoto, getting the project approved wasn’t too big of an issue.

Famicom Detective Club had been a dormant franchise for Nintendo until the Switch remakes of the original titles back in 2021. Then last August, Emio – The Smiling Man launched on the console. That was the first new Famicom Detective Club story in 35 years.

Developer Armonica LLC have announced that they will be bringing Detective Instinct: Farewell, My Beloved to Nintendo Switch. The game is an ADV/Visual novel inspired by classic titles such as the Famicom Detective Club series, and has a targeted release date of 2025.

Fire Emblem Heroes New Heroes & Attuned Brigid

Nintendo and Intelligent Systems have revealed the next Fire Emblem Heroes summoning event, which is New Heroes & Attuned Brigid.

Attuned Hero Brigid: Awakened Bow, along with three other new Heroes from Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War, will be appearing. Also, a Grand Hero Battle Chulainn: Unbeaten Warrior is planned.

A number of new deals are up and running on the North American Nintendo Switch eShop. These include the lowest prices ever for Finding Paradise, To the Moon, and more.
