Another Arcade Archives game is about to drop on Nintendo Switch, with Marchen Maze due to release worldwide tomorrow, February 6.
Marchen Maze is an action game originally released by Namco in 1988. In the game players will take on the role as Alice as she journey through various fantasy realms to save them from the evil Queen.

F-Zero 99 version 1.5.6 update out now, patch notes

F-Zero 99 just received its latest update with Nintendo starting distribution of version 1.5.6.
A number of past patches have included new content. While that isn’t the case here, a number of fixes have been implemented. Nintendo also highlights that it eliminated shortcuts that took advantage of a bug.

Sonic Wings Reunion announced for Nintendo Switch

November 8: Today, Success Corporation unveiled Sonic Wings Reunion. The game launches for Nintendo Switch in Japan on May 29, 2025. Aside from Japan, it will support English, French, German, Portuguese, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese language options.
Sonic Wings Reunion marks the newest entry in the Aero Fighters shoot ’em up series. This is the first new game in 26 years and some of the original developers are involved.
EA says EA Sports FC and Madden may “find real energy” on Nintendo Switch 2, MySims: Cozy Bundle sold “well ahead of our expectations”

During a financial call today, EA CEO Andrew Wilson shared some general thoughts about Nintendo Switch 2 and also interesting insight into the sales of MySims: Cozy Bundle.
As for the new console, Wilson said that it’s “had franchises perform very well on Nintendo platforms.” EA Sports FC and Madden were two series singled out as series that could “find real energy on the platform”. Madden never actually appeared on the current Nintendo Switch.
Capcom bringing Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny to Nintendo Switch

Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny is heading to Nintendo Switch, Capcom just announced. This will be available later in 2025.
Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny originally debuted in 2002 for the PlayStation 2. The game will be appearing on a Nintendo platform for the first time, and Capcom is planning it as a remastered version.

Capcom Fighting Collection 2 release date set for May, new trailer

A final release date was just announced for Capcom Fighting Collection 2. The package is slated for May 16, 2025 on Nintendo Switch and other platforms.
Capcom Fighting Collection 2 was a big announcement when it was revealed during a Nintendo Direct last year. It was given a 2025 release window at the time. New features are planned including online play with rollback netcode and quality-of-life updates across all eight titles.

Fashion Police Squad physical release in the works for Nintendo Switch

Fashion Police Squad, which is already on Nintendo Switch digitally, is now getting a physical release. This one comes courtesy of Limited Run Games.
Just a standard copy will be offered to consumers. Limited Run Games does not appear to be readying any special editions.
MLB The Show 25 confirmed for Nintendo Switch

January 28: PlayStation today officially unveiled MLB The Show 25 and confirmed that the game will be appearing on Nintendo Switch as we’ve seen with the series over the past few years. It’s due out on March 18, 2025 with Early Access happening on March 14 through the Digital Deluxe Edition.
The big news for the game is that there’ll be three cozy athletes for the first time ever. Paul Skenes, Elly De La Cruz, and Gunnar Henderson will grace the cover as the franchise celebrates its 20th anniversary.

Atari reveals Breakout Beyond for Nintendo Switch, from Bit.Trip dev Choice Provisions

Today, Atari unveiled Breakout Beyond in partnership with developer Choice Provisions, the developer behind the Bit.Trip series. It’s due on Nintendo Switch out later in 2025.
Breakout Beyond is a new reimagining of the series that invites players to break on through to the other side. The game features a whole new sideways perspective, 72 levels, and support for two-player co-op.

Bayonetta 3 director, others depart from PlatinumGames

Another wave of PlatinumGames departures have been confirmed, including the director of Bayonetta 3. This comes courtesy of a new video from Hideki Kamiya, who previously left the company.
Takahisa Taura, the director of Astral Chain, was previously thought to have left – and that’s now confirmed. Additionally, Bayonetta 3 director Yusuke Miyata is gone. The same goes for Kenji Saito (Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance director) and Masaki Yamanaka (Anarchy Reigns character designer).
