Mario Kart World Monolith Soft

Mario Kart World is Nintendo’s big launch game, but it turns out some help was provided by Monolith Soft.

Monolith Soft is largely known for the Xenoblade Chronicles series. However, it does have two branches that have been involved with other Nintendo titles previously.

Deltarune cut content

Nintendo published a new interview today with Deltarune creator Toby Fox, and that discussion revealed that an entire segment of content was cut from Chapter 3.

The next two chapters of Deltarune just came to Nintendo Switch today with Switch 2 getting the release tomorrow. In honor of the launch, Nintendo decided to catch up with Fox for that interview.

Square Enix is here with a launch trailer for Bravely Default: Flying Fairy HD Remaster. This is the company’s first release on Nintendo Switch 2, tying in with the platform’s launch.

Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles

Just revealed today, Square Enix is bringing Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles to Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch. We already have a release date of September 30, 2025.

Final Fantasy Tactics, a tactical RPG, originally released on PlayStation. The game will now be coming to a Nintendo platform for the first time.

IO Interactive has pulled back the curtain on First Light 007, its upcoming James Bond game for Nintendo Switch 2. A first look was given today with a proper reveal trailer.

First Light 007 was confirmed for Nintendo Switch 2 during the system’s reveal back in April. Today’s trailer doesn’t contain gameplay, but gives us a first look at Bond himself and what to expect from the adventure.

Super Mario Odyssey Nintendo Switch vs. Switch comparison

Super Mario Odyssey is one of a few Nintendo Switch games that’s been upgraded on Switch 2, and now we have a comparison for the two versions.

Those playing on the new console will notice a number of visual upgrades. The big change is an increase in resolution on Nintendo Switch 2. Additionally, while Super Mario Odyssey ran fine previously, the new console addresses a few hiccups with the frame rate – it’s fully stable at 100 FPS. Interestingly, loading times are pretty much the same, though Nintendo Switch 2 has a very slight edge there.

Epic published a new post today outlining all of the improvements for Fortnite on Nintendo Switch 2. If you’ve been playing on the current Nintendo Switch, you’ll notice various upgrades.

Fortnite has received a number of technical upgrades on Nintendo Switch 2. That means it runs at full 60 frames per second at a higher resolution, plus more. Mouse controls are also coming imminently via patch 36.00.

Nintendo Switch 2 backwards compatibility list

April 2: Nintendo has provide a new Nintendo Switch 2 backwards compatibility list, which outline which games aren’t compatible with Switch 1.

As of now there’s just one title identified as fully nonfunctional – that being Nintendo Labo Toy-Con 04: VR Kit. Nintendo has also outlined games that need a Nintendo Switch Joy-Con, titles that start up but have issues, and ones with flat-out start up problems.

Madden NFL 26 Nintendo Switch 2

Madden NFL 26 is heading to Nintendo Switch, EA revealed today. The game launches on August 14, 2025.

Plans for the football franchise on the new console were announced during a Nintendo Direct earlier in the month. However, EA didn’t specify if we’d be getting this year’s main entry or something else entirely.
