Switch eShop

For the past year, Nintendo has added NES games to Switch via the Nintendo Switch Online service each month. Now that SNES titles have entered the picture, Nintendo is changing things up.

Of course, more releases for SNES are planned going forward. There will also be more games from the NES platform. However, Nintendo says that “those releases will not adhere to a regular schedule”. In other words, there are no longer plans to specifically launch new games each month.

Those sorting options have now been detailed on Nintendo’s Japanese website. On the menu, you can change the order freely. You can sort titles in alphabetical order, by release date, play time, favorites, and recently played.

These sorting options aren’t limited to SNES games, as Nintendo has confirmed the same sorting options are being added to NES – Nintendo Switch Online.

A Dark Room

A Dark Room launched on Switch earlier this year, but not without some controversy. Developer Amir Rajan left an Easter egg in the game that allowed players to access a hidden code editor. Rajan’s intent was innocuous, but Nintendo was forced to pull the game from the eShop and publisher Circle Entertainment was upset about the whole situation.

Months later, A Dark Room is available on the eShop once again. The code editor is gone, though the experience appears to be otherwise in tact.
