Team behind Days of Dawn now a Wii U developer

German developer Bumblebee launched a Kickstarter for a new turn-based RPG, Days of Dawn, late last month. PC, Mac, and Linux were the game’s only confirmed platforms, but the indie team announced last Friday that it has become a Wii U developer. Bumblebee said that a Wii U version “is now within reach” and it would be “a dream platform for the game.”

Days of Dawn only has until mid-Sunday to reach its $50,000 goal. Currently, the total stands at $27,392. It’ll be tough to raise another $23,000 (give or take) in less than a week, but it’d certainly be nice to see another indie effort on Wii U.
You can find more information about Days of Dawn here.
Toki Tori 2 will run at 720p at 60FPS

Toki Tori 2 used to be a 1080p game. It’s now presented in 720p, but the slight downgrade in resolution will be worth it. Developer Two Tribes confirmed on Twitter today that Toki Tori 2 will now run at 60 frames-per-second as opposed to 30.
The studio wrote:
.@coldblooder Toki Tori 2 was 1080p @ 30fps, then we made it prettier and it was 720p @ 30fps, now it looks and plays great at 720p @ 60fps.

Ambient Studios talks possibility of bringing Death Inc. to Wii U
Posted on 12 years ago by Austin(@NE_Austin) in News, Wii U, Wii U eShop | 0 comments

“And even better for the Wii U because we wouldn’t have to compromise on the visuals like we might have to do if we did a tablet version (which would also be cool). I love, love, love the ‘living room’ experience of playing games — it’s my favourite setting, so it would be amazing to see it there.”
– Ambient Studios co-founder Johnny Hopper
The sooner they get it out the better! I know if it came out, got decent reviews, and wasn’t priced too ridiculously I would pick it up in a second since there isn’t much else on the eShop at this point. Heck, I almost picked up Puddle the other day simply because I wanted something to play on Wii U that was new… but I didn’t in the end. Whether there would be more support for Death Inc. I’m not sure– I know that reviews would probably play a big role in getting people to pick it up, since there likely wouldn’t be any measurable “hype” around an eShop release.

Nintendo Details Another Huge List of Upcoming Games for Nintendo 3DS, Wii U
REDMOND, Wash., Feb. 14, 2013 – After decades of playing second fiddle to the No. 1 video game hero, Luigi is getting some love from Nintendo. Nintendo has named 2013 the “Year of Luigi,” thanks to the numerous appearances that Mario’s timid, green-clad twin brother will be making in games this year. In a Nintendo Direct video, Nintendo provided details about games on the way that feature Luigi, as well as information about more than two dozen upcoming games, including content for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS across packaged and digital formats.
“Luigi is just the green tip of the iceberg of all the great news we have to share with Nintendo fans this year and beyond,” said Reggie Fils-Aime, Nintendo of America’s president and COO. “We’re showing how Nintendo 3DS and Wii U continue to be a source of fun, entertainment and great surprises.”
