Splatoon developers using Tumblr for updates
Posted on 10 years ago by Patrick(@Patricklous) in News, Wii U | 1 Comment
Not exactly breaking news from the Squid Research Lab! The developers of the upcoming Wii U title, Splatoon, are now sharing official English updates through the game’s Tumblr page. Previously this was only being shared on a Japanese Twitter account so it’s nice to have an official English resource, even if it’s making me feel redundant. You can view the most recent update, including the picture above, there. All of the previous information we’ve posted is also on the Tumblr, which confirms that the one time I had a crack at translating their Twitter post it ended up being accurate. What a fluke!

PlatinumGames updated its official blog once again recently with a new post about Bayonetta 2. The studio shared a release event report plus more tips for the Wii U title.
Check out a few excerpts below:
Nintendo shared lots of stories about release day events from various other countries as well, and I was very happy and relieved to see the game was being so warmly welcomed all over the world, so I’m very grateful to all of you who picked it up!
As a small token of my appreciation, I have a few more tips to share, since our last blog was very well received. Hope you enjoy them! (Thanks to game designer Ryoya Sakabe for providing them!)
Touch of Gold
Did you know that the environments you normally just run through actually contain several objects that reveal haloes when you touch them on the Wii U GamePad!? If you search every nook and cranny of every stage, you might become a halo millionaire in no time!
Head on over to the PlatinumGames website for the full post.

A statement obtained by Wired editor Chris Kohler states that both of these products “remain in distribution in the North American region.” Nintendo is doing its best to meet the high demand and intends to ship additional stock to retailers.
The full statement from Nintendo of America reads:
“Both the Super Smash Bros. Edition Nintendo GameCube Controller and the Adapter that connects it to the Wii U console remain in distribution in the North American region. Nintendo of America is doing everything we can to meet the strong demand for these products, and additional stock will be made available and delivered to retailers. Two new artists introduced for Xenoblade Chronicles X
Posted on 10 years ago by Kirara Koneko(@KiraraKoneko) in News, Wii U | 8 Comments
In his latest tweet, Tetsuya Takahashi introduces two new members of the Xenoblade Chronicles X development team.
Fumihiro Katagai and RARE Engine, are the latest artists to be introduced however no specifics are given as to what the two are working on.
Katagai is a mecha/conceptual designer who works on anime, and RARE Engine is an illustrator who mostly works on magazine illustrations and artwork for digital card games.
Takahashi goes on to ask for patience as he knows that continually introducing designers via twitter could get rather boring, he wants to make sure he can introduce as many artists as possible.
Takahashi feels that at this time the general direction of the game has been set ,therefore it makes it difficult for new people to join at this point so he is very grateful to those who have accepted to take part.
