Nintendo is back with another update for Super Mario 3D All-Stars, and as of today, players can download version 1.1.3.
The patch is again about those playing the collection on Nintendo Switch 2. According to the official notice, some issues have been fixed.

The latest Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch firmware update just went live with version 20.2.0.
A couple of specific issues have been addressed, which involve Parental Control transfers and being stuck in Internet Settings while searching for networks. On top of that, we get the traditional stability updates.

We’re right at the beginning of the review, but forgive me – I have to take a quick detour. In order to give Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 a fair shake, it’s important to briefly eulogize that which came before. In 2020, developer Vicarious Visions lovingly reimagined the first two Tony Hawk Pro Skater titles, punctuating years of community demand and anticipation in the process. Blending the aesthetics and structure of the original games with the flow and feel of the series’ later entries, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 was a glistening oasis for parched Pro Skater zealots (like me), and it effortlessly washed away the rancid aftertaste left by the chaotically inept Pro Skater 5. The studio’s remake heralded a new beginning for the series – one we all felt would kickflip the franchise back into life. A sequel was expected, but it didn’t happen – at least not initially. After years of the same false starts and dashed hopes that preceded its release, we’ve finally been given reprieve courtesy of developer Iron Galaxy. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 is part sequel, part remake, and has the mammoth task of building on what came before, by rebuilding what came next.
Switch 2 eShop gets new publishing guidelines in Japan and Asia, Nintendo seems to be going after “slop” games

According to a report from IGN, Nintendo is implementing changes that developers and publishers need to follow if they intend on releasing games on the Nintendo Switch 2 eShop. As of now we only have confirmation that Japan and Asia are affected.
If you’ve browsed the Nintendo eShop on the original Switch, you’ve probably encountered some questionable titles. There are projects that use AI, copycats, and other things that gamers have generally categorized as “slop”. Overall, plenty of low effort games have made their way to Nintendo’s store and it’s become an increasingly bigger problem throughout the years.

Rumor: Nintendo Direct happening this month

Nintendo fans have been awaiting the next Direct presentation, and apparently, it could be happening very soon.
That claim comes from Nate the Hate, who shared what he knows on a podcast episode. He’s heard that there’s a Nintendo Direct happening in July, though it won’t air until Donkey Kong Bananza is released.

The latest UK software sales chart for the week ending July 12, 2025 is now available.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 was a major new release, but it falls just short of the top spot thanks to Mario Kart World. For the Activision title, 11 percent of sales were on Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch had 10 percent. The rest of the split was 67 percent for PS5 and 6 percent for PS4.

Ys X: Proud Nordics confirmed for Nintendo Switch 2 [update: new trailer]

April 2: Falcom is planning Ys X: Proud Nordics for Nintendo Switch, the company has announced. The game launches this summer in Japan – a western launch should happen at some point.
Ys X: Proud Nordics is a new version of the action RPG, which is already out on Nintendo Switch. It brings along new content such as additional character techniques, bosses, and levels. Further information has not been provided.
