One of the longest Nintendo Directs ever just took place yesterday with the September 2025 presentation. Nintendo itself presented the latest news for both Switch 2 and Switch, but third-parties chimed in as well.
From Nintendo, games that are new announcements included Super Mario Galaxy 1 + 2, Mario Tennis Fever, Pokemon Pokopia, and Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave. Other highlights include the Virtual Boy Nintendo Classics, Donkey Kong Bananza DLC, Super Mario Bros. Wonder Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, and Metroid Prime 4 and Hyrule Wariors: Age of Imprisonment release dates. From third-parties, we saw Resident Evil Requiem (plus Resident Evil 7 and Village), Fatal Frame 2 Remake, Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined, and Danganronpa 2×2. This wasn’t everything, but you can catch up on it all here.

Options for getting a physical version of Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & the White Guardian are limited, but a release is at least planned for Asia.
The Atelier games have seen boxed copies in both North America and Europe. However, this time around, things are different. Neither region is receiving a physical release for Atelier Resleriana on Nintendo Switch. Strangely, the PS5 version will have a physical edition in Europe, but only on PS5. So for Nintendo Switch fans, the Asian physical release will come in handy since the system is region free – and English is supported on the cartridge.

System: Switch
Release date: September 9, 2025
Developer: Limited Run
Publisher: Atari
There’s something about that bobcat, isn’t there? Since making his debut in 1993, Bubsy has lived in gaming infamy for his in-your-face attitude, and also for the reputation of his games not being the best the platforming genre has to offer. Even still, the character has had an unmistakable impact on the industry, and whether ironic or sincere, he has garnered a following and earned himself a cult status amongst platforming mascots. This led to a revival of the series in the late 2010s with a nineteen year gap between the releases of Bubsy 3D in 1996 and Bubsy: The Woolies Strike Back in 2017. Now, in 2025, we have a brand new collection of Bubsy’s original run of games before his near two-decade long catnap.
