#Nindies Summer Jam to be hosted during September

The “Nindie” community is working together to highlight new eShop games across Wii U and 3DS over the next several weeks. High-profile titles will be discounted in North America by 10 percent during the first week of launch, and developers will share video stories about their projects development in the eShop. On top of that, these developers will curate a shelf in eShop which features some of their favorite games. All of this is formed as part of “#Nindies Summer Jam”.

Here’s a look at the release schedule:

Sept. 1
Axiom Verge from Thomas Happ Games – In this retro-style action-platform-exploration game, use the Wii U GamePad as your map, a way to easily swap between weapons or for Off-TV Play. A failed scientist dies in an accident, only to awaken in a mysterious, alien world. Where is he? How did he get here? And why do the fundamental laws of reality appear broken? Life. Afterlife. Real. Alice in Wonderland releases on September 1 for North America

Developer Brave Rock Games have confirmed on Miiverse that their visual novel Alice in Wonderland will be released September 1st in North America. A European release is “coming soon”.

Super Mario 64 DS hitting the North American Wii U Virtual Console tomorrow

Following the listing discovered on the ESRB earlier today, we now have confirmation that Super Mario 64 DS is this week’s North American Wii U Virtual Console title. Nintendo will be publishing the game tomorrow on the eShop.

An official description from the big N’s website reads:

“Mario, Luigi, and Wario set out for a party at Princess Peach’s castle but arrive to find it empty except for Yoshi. They soon discover that Bowser has stolen the Power Stars and imprisoned the Toads. Enter all of the castle paintings, and save the day! Then try out some action-packed minigames!”

Super Mario 64 DS is priced at $9.99.

Super Mario 64 DS rated for the North American Wii U Virtual Console

Super Mario 64 DS might be heading to the North American Wii U Virtual Console soon. Over on the ESRB, the game has now received a new rating indicating that it’s on the horizon.

Super Mario 64 DS launched on the European Wii U Virtual Console last December. At this point, a North American release is overdue.

We should be finding out about Nintendo’s Virtual Console plans for the week later today.
