Spin the Bottle update submitted to Nintendo

Spin the Bottle: Bumpie’s Party’s upcoming update has been submitted to Nintendo. KnapNok Games confirmed the news earlier this month, while also noting that the studio hopes to have it ready for release in January.

The new update for Spin the Bottle: Bumpie’s Party is fairly substantial. It’ll add several games, all free for owners of the software.

Cavelight Entertainment becomes official Wii U dev, Velocity Stream targeted for the eShop

Cavelight Entertainment has become an official Wii U developer, and could bring “Velocity Stream” to the eShop. At the moment, Cavelight isn’t in possession of any dev kits, so a Wii U release would likely arrive after the PC version.
Velocity Stream is an asymmetric racing game. While it may seem like a traditional racer, the “paver” mixes things up. One player controls the paver, which can create endless streams of energy for the other participants to race on. The track’s angle, width, and obstacles can all be modified.

Four new Virtual Console games are on track for the Japanese Wii U eShop next week. Bubble Bobble (Famicom, 500 yen), Wario’s Woods (Famicom, 500 yen), New Adventure Island (TurboGrafx-16, 600 yen), and Penguin Adventure (MSX, 800 yen) will be out on January 29.
Mighty Bomb Jack hitting the North American Wii U Virtual Console this week

Thanks to a listing on the eShop, we have confirmation that Mighty Bomb Jack will be made available as a Virtual Console download this week. It’s due out in North America on January 23. Pricing for the NES classic is set at $4.99.
