Swap Fire, a Wii U eShop title that debuted late last year, is getting an update. Midnight Status has shared some information about what to expect from version 1.1
First, players will have easier staged access to Exhibition Mode. The developer is also implementing audio cues in multiplayer to compliment opening animations. You can count on the normal bug fixes as well along with more precise dual analogue controls.
There’s no date just yet for the patch. Swap Fire is also heading to Europe, but no word yet on when it’ll be launching.

Mario vs Donkey Kong hitting the North American Wii U Virtual Console tomorrow
Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U eShop | 4 Comments
Mario vs Donkey Kong will make its way to the North American Wii U Virtual Console this week. That’s according to a listing on Nintendo’s website confirming a release date of February 9.
Here’s an overview:
“Donkey Kong just made off with all the Mini-Mario toys, and now it’s up to Mario to chase his long-time nemesis and retrieve the stolen goods.
Leap and battle through increasingly difficult levels as you use switches, conveyor belts, hammers, and more to overcome the hordes of enemies that block your way.
You need brawn…and brains! Figure out the best path, then break out new Mario moves like the handstand to track down keys, collect gifts, and navigate perilous platforms across barrels of levels.
Before battling Donkey Kong at the end of each world, collect all the Mini-Marios and lead them to safety!”
Mario vs Donkey Kong will cost $6.99.

Non-American credit and debit cards can now be used on the US eShop
Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS eShop, News, Wii U eShop | 23 Comments
In the past, the US eShop hasn’t allowed for the use of non-American credit and debit cards. It looks like that just changed recently, however. These payment options are now fully compatible.
We should note that only the 3DS has been tested so far. There really wouldn’t be much of a reason for the restriction to still be in place on Wii U though. If we hear anything otherwise, we’ll be sure to let you know.
