New Hive Jump trailer
Posted on 8 years ago by Fernando in Videos, Wii U eShop | 0 comments
Though there are a lot of indie developers that are cancelling their project plans on Wii U, Graphite Lab’s Hive Jump is still slated to come to that Nintendo system a bit later this year.
The Steam version for PC, Mac and Linux will launch on January 18th, and we’ve received a new trailer to celebrate the occasion. But as Hive Jump will eventually appear on Wii U, this launch trailer delivers a good look at its gameplay and works to get us hyped.

F-Zero X hitting the North American Wii U Virtual Console tomorrow
Posted on 8 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U eShop | 4 Comments
North America is getting another Wii U Virtual Console game this week. Tomorrow, Nintendo will release F-Zero X.
An official listing contains the following description:
“Choose from 30 different hover-car racers, including updated versions of the Blue Falcon and other vehicles from the original F-Zero, and get ready to play one of the fastest racers ever! Race to the finish line on tracks that twist and turn through the air. However, you will have to avoid the other 29 cars on the track or else face the consequences! If you’re in a competitive mood, try to win a Grand Prix Cup, get the fastest lap time in a Time Trial, or destroy the competition in a Death Race. You can also challenge three friends in the Versus mode. With five separate play modes, hidden vehicles and courses, and an excellent sound track, F-Zero X still represents one of the best racing titles to date!”
F-Zero X will set you back $9.99.

The Next Penelope cancelled for Wii U, dev looking into feasibility of Switch version
Posted on 8 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch, Wii U eShop | 10 Comments
The Next Penelope originally came out in 2015. A Wii U version was planned, but creator Aurélien Regard has since confirmed that it’s been cancelled on the console.
The one bright spot here is that Regard is looking into whether a port on Switch will be possible. It also sounds like he’s hoping to bring his next game to the new system since Unity is supported, which is what the project is built on.
Continue on below for Regard’s full comments on the situation.
