Nintendo’s latest maintenance schedule for the week of October 20, 2024 is now available.

There’s actually nothing on the docket for Switch at the moment. However, there’s actually one 3DS session planned that will take place a few hours from now.

Below is the full Nintendo maintenance schedule for the week of October 20, 2024:

Thousands of games are currently available on Switch, and there are a ton of demos out there for many of them. Not just Nintendo, but also third-parties are offering demos. We’ve now put together a comprehensive list of what’s out there.

Since our reader base is English-speaking, that’s what we’re focusing on here. In other words, we’re highlighting Switch demos that you can find in North America and Europe. Japan has a few extra demos on its end, but a majority of them are for titles that are not currently being sold in the west and are only playable in Japanese.

It may not have been something that fans would immediately assume, but it turns out that Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake is taking some inspiration from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

That news comes from producer Masaaki Hayasaka. In a recent interview, he said that Square Enix wanted to capture that same sense of adventure that Zelda provides – seeing something off in the distance that catches your eye and wanting to head in that direction.

In just a couple of weeks, Halloween will be rolling by once again. Around this time, many people play specific games that bring the spooky vibes. Some go all out with horror like Resident Evil, but there are plenty of titles that aren’t quite as serious yet still bring the same aura.
