Austin is in attendance at Nintendo’s Wii U Software Showcase today. Here are a few photos from the event:

Today’s Nintendo Direct didn’t exactly go smoothly. The stream glitched out completely, making the presentation completely un-watchable for large portions of the broadcast.

Nintendo president Satoru Iwata temporarily took over the company’s official Facebook to apologize for these issues.

He wrote:

“Hello everyone this is Satoru Iwata. Thank you all for watching the Nintendo Direct this morning. I understand that many of you experienced technical issues with the live stream. I apologize and thank you for your patience. We have a lot of exciting news that we would like to share with you.”

If you ask me, Nintendo should consider an alternative streaming path. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a complete Nintendo Direct stream without a single issue on my end…
