SnowCastle Games is now a licensed Wii U developer. The company’s first order of business: a Wii U version of Festival of Magic.

Festival of Magic is an adventure RPG featuring “a Nordic take on an Eastern genre.”

An official game description reads:

“Festival of Magic is an adventure RPG with a Nordic take on an Eastern genre. Grow spuds and use your harvest as powerful ammunition or spells; craft your weapons and team up your companions for battle. Solve challenging puzzles, collect rare items and explore various dungeons scattered across the world.”

Festival of Magic doesn’t have a release date yet, but hopefully we’ll be seeing it on the eShop soon.

Bethesda announced Wolfenstein: The New Order earlier today. The game is heading to the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, and next-gen platforms.

Could the Wii U be included in the latter group? Bethesda’s Pete Hines wouldn’t say when asked on Twitter, noting:

Bethesda hasn’t been keen on supporting Nintendo in the past, so I wouldn’t count on this one coming to Wii U. Still, it is interesting that Hines didn’t say “no” outright.

At this point, you can pretty much forget about any kind of Injustice: Gods Among Us downloadable content for Wii U. Warner Bros. was asked about Wii U DLC just ahead of the game’s launch last month, but continues to offer up the following comment:

“We don’t have any more specific details to release about the Wii U version that haven’t already been made public. If we do have new details to discuss, we’ll release them publicly.”

What makes this particularly strange is that Nintendo had said Injustice would support DLC during a previous Nintendo Direct. The game’s box also mentions the ability to download additional content.

DLC itself shouldn’t be an issue. We’ve seen plenty of games support the functionality, including Assassin’s Creed III and Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper.

The Starship Damrey won’t be hitting the European 3DS eShop this Thursday, as originally thought. Nintendo has now clarified that the first release from Level-5’s Guild02 collection will be out on May 16 instead. That’s the same day as Starship Damrey’s North American launch.
