Quick heads up to the Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward players out there. The 3DS version contains a save bug that could crash your game. It was apparently in the Japanese version as well.

The bug may be encountered in the Pressure Exchange (PEC) puzzle room. Saving here will crash and corrupt the data on your cart. If this is something you do, you’ll have to start all over.

Fortunately, Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed isn’t delayed. Amazon’s December listing was nothing more than an error.

Executive producer Steve Lycett told fans on the official SEGA forums:

“Relax, as far as we know that’s a mistake and they’ve got confused with the handheld dates. Mentioned it to SEGA so they know.”

Nintendo of Europe’s January 11, 2013 release date listing wasn’t a fluke. This is indeed the game’s expected launch in the continent.

Of course, Razor’s Edge will still be arriving alongside the Wii U’s launch in North America. I wonder why this isn’t the same case in Europe…

Well, I’m pretty surprised I hadn’t heard about this before today! Apparently Gamestop is debuting a new kind of store called “Gamestop KIDS” that will be focused on selling age-appropriate content to people who want to either buy games for their children or to children who want to buy games for themselves. All of the games will be rated “E” (“E 10+” is probably a given as well), and there will be a heavy emphasis on including various bits of swag (plushies, foam toys, accessories, etc) alongside the games.

So it will be like a toy store mixed with a Gamestop, and yes, the logo is as 90s as you’d imagine:

Sorry to those who were hoping to play Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate on the GamePad: the feature won’t be supported. Capcom confirmed that it can only be played on the television.

In other news, all of Ultimate’s downloadable quests from the 3DS version that have been released in Japan over the past year or so will also be made available for the game’s western release. I imagine that they’ll be included on the Wii U disc, too.

Another indie game is heading to the Wii U eShop. Ackkstudios, after being approved yesterday (with the whole process taking around two and a half weeks in total), is now an official Wii U developer. The studio’s first order of business is to port Two Brothers to the console – this is due out next year.

Ackkstudios also has a modern 3D RPG in the works. Information is currently unavailable aside from the fact that its graphical style is inspired by titles such as Earthbound and The World Ends with You, but the team is strongly considering the game for Wii U. In fact, there’s even a chance that it could be an exclusive to the system. Nothing is decided on for now, though.

You can look forward to more information about the mystery project at PAX East in March.

Attack of the Show and X-Play are on their way out of G4TV. The network will be phasing out both shows by the end of December.

G4’s two longest-running and defining series, Attack of the Show! and X-Play, will be ending their run at the end of 2012. Both shows will include original episodes through the end of the year, and will look back at theirmost memorable moments as we lead up to their final episodes. A rotating lineup of guest co-hosts including John Barrowman, Michael Ian Black, Josh Myers, Paul Scheer, Rob Huebel and Horatio Sanz will join AOTS hosts Candace Bailey and Sara Underwood, and X-Play hosts Morgan Webb and Blair Herter as part of the farewell shows.

With well over a thousand episodes each, Attack of the Show! and X-Play have defined gamer culture for a generation, serving as the launch pad for prominent personalities including Kevin Pereira, Olivia Munn, Chris Hardwick and Adam Sessler. Attack of the Show! debuted March 28, 2005 and from the start was the ultimate guide to everything cool and new in the world of technology, web culture, gaming and pop culture. X-Play made its debut almost two years earlier, on April 28, 2003 (on G4’s previous incarnation: TechTV), and immediately became the go-to destination for young men seeking the latest video game news, honest reviews, hands-on demos and exclusive video game trailers and footage. The year-end celebration will take you back through highlights of these landmark shows’ history, including its exclusive live-from-the-floor coverage of San Diego Comic-Con and E3.

Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney is coming to retail as well as the 3DS eShop. When the game launches, it will immediately be available on the digital store.

The eShop release will cost 5,980 yen, just like the retail version. It takes up 7,342 blocks on an SD card.

Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney is due out in Japan on November 29.
