According to Longbow Research’s James Hardiman, the Wii U has been achieving an attach rate of 1.2 games sold per system. That tidbit is based on NPD data gathered in the US last month. The Wii saw a rate of two titles sold for every console when it launched in 2006.

So why have buyers been purchasing fewer Wii U games compared to Wii? Hardiman believes that consumers may not be inclined to pick up another game due to Nintendo Land’s inclusion in the Deluxe set, or the price tag of the Wii U is dissuading them from spending extra cash on releases.

It’s been a rough couple of years for Mega Man. Within the past 24 months or so, two games in the series were cancelled. Capcom pulled the plug on both Mega Man Legends 3 and Mega Man Universe in 2011.

But now things are starting to look slightly brighter. Capcom today announced a free, downloadable PC game called “Street Fighter X Mega Man”. And beyond this, it sounds like there could be big things ahead for the Blue Bomber.

Capcom USA senior vice president Christian Svensson spoke about Mega Man’s struggles and future approach to the IP in an interview with IGN. You can see what he had to say after the break. There are also some notes on how the Street Fighter X Mega Man project materialized as well as a hint that Capcom will begin sharing some of its more important Mega Man news starting on December 17 – the series’ 25th anniversary.

On this week’s episode: Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion, Scribblenauts Unlimited, Crashmo, and Paper Mario: Sticker Star.

Etrian Odyssey IV will land in North America on February 26. With its release on the horizon, now’s as good a time as any for newcomers to give the series a try.

There’s just one problem – it’s not so easy to find the first three Etrian Odyssey games at retail. Thankfully, Atlus will be remedying the situation by reprinting the DS titles.

Canadian retailer Video Games Plus recently sent out an email indicating that consumers will soon be able to pre-order Etrian Odyssey, Etrian Odyssey 2: Heroes of Lagaard and Etrian Odyssey 3: The Drowned City for $29.99 each. Alternatively, all three can be purchased in a pre-order bundle with a $15 discount.

The reprint will take place in early 2013. Here’s hoping that stock will be available throughout North America.
