Today, another website is joining the Nintendo Everything and Gaming Everything family. We’re starting up “VGSavings”, otherwise known as “Video Game Savings”. Yes, I’m aware that it doesn’t end with “Everything” – shocking, I know!
I believe VGSavings is the perfect complement to our other sites due to the nature of intended updates. Unlike NE/GE, it won’t require constant attention. We’re really covering just one form of news there, and that’s it. I’m also not expecting to add in 15-20 posts per day. Although you never know…
We’ll probably cross-post some updates across the sites, so you’ll still be able to find out about some deals even if you aren’t visiting VGSavings on constantly. This will most likely be done through a daily wrap-up or something similar, so you’ll still need to check it out often for the latest and most-complete news!
I’m very curious to hear what you guys think about this new idea. But before you do, head on over to VGSavings, bookmark it, and prepare for posts starting tomorrow!
Sidenote: I’m pretty sure this will be the last site I create. I don’t think I can handle more than three…
Hopefully I’m interpreting this correctly. It sounds like publishers have showed interest in bringing La-Mulana to WiiWare following Nicalis’ decision to move on from the title.
The following was written on the official La-Mulana blog today:
“…However, we also hope WiiWare version is releasd overseas. Our intention may have gotten across. Some publishers have offered just after the interview was posted on the websites.”
We need more information, Nigoro!
In case you haven’t heard, Renegade Kid’s next eShop game is Bomb Monkey. Nintendo Power was given an exclusive look at the title in its May issue, which includes the first official details and screenshots.
We’ve summarized all of the juicy information from the magazine below.
– Stylistically different from Renegade Kid’s previous games
– Arcade-style falling-block puzzler
– Hold the 3DS sideways to play
– Use control pad or Circle Pad to move your money back and forth along the top of the screen
– Press down to drop colored blocks wherever you see fit
– Stack is constantly growing, rises from the bottom of the screen
– If the stack reaches your monkey’s location, the game ends
– Randomly obtain access to bombs
– Use bombs to destroy nearby blocks
– Blocks that are next each other and have the same color can all be destroyed at once if they’re hit by a bomb
– Somewhat comparable to Super Puzzle Fighter II
– Need to hit locked blocks multiple times to destroy
– Special red boxes can destroy an entire row or column of blocks when detonated
– Position red blocks strategically to set up massive combs that take out nearly all blocks in sight
– Destroy spheres marked with letters to spell the word BOMB
– This allows you to enter Bomb Monkey Time
– Bomb Monkey Time: drop unlimited boxes temporarily
– Endless mode included
– Destroy as many blocks and rack up as high a score as possible before you lose in Endless mode
– Rescue mode: destroy a cage with bombs in order to free another monkey
– Numbers mode: Destroy numbered spheres in the correct order
– Versus and co-op modes: play with a friend using one 3DS
– Friend controls his monkey with the X, A, B buttons
– Action takes place over both screens in versus and co-op
There wasn’t a ton of shocking news on GameTrailers’ latest Bonus Round episode, but Shane Satterfield once again said people will be surprised with the Wii U’s launch lineup and the amount of games in development for the system – that applies to both first and third-party software.
There’s also about five seconds of Pokemon Dream Radar in the video above.
Now that we’ve had a day to recover from the Wii U controller leak, let’s take a look at a comparison showing the differences between the E3 2011 model and the one we saw yesterday:
