“Based on my background as an industrial designer and Nintendo and my background in creating entertainment, I’ve always wanted to make greater use of color in our hardware. If you look back on things like the Famicom and the original Super Nintendo, they were a lot more colorful from a hardware perspective. What we found over the years when we included a lot of different colors in our hardware is people would kind of point to that and use it to paint us as more kid-oriented. So really what we looked at is what are some ways from a design perspective that can make the system appeal to all ages. One of the ways that we found to best do that is to minimize the use of color. In that process we asked if we’re going to do that, what’s the best way to go? We found that rather than going all black – all white seems to have a broader appeal to people.”
Maybe it’s just me, but I really don’t care about the color of home consoles. I’m fine with black or white… I don’t think I’d be interested in anything other than that. The color of my handhelds are a bit more important, but in recent years I’ve still gone either black or white, depending on what’s available.

Yup, that’s XSEED. This pretty much confirms that Solatorobo is on the way to North America and the game’s localization will be handled by XSEED. Nice to see that we won’t miss out on this title!
Granted nothing crazy happens, the new gallery system on the site should be fixed. So from here on out, I’ll try to use the new setup. Of course, if it ends up causing more issues, I’ll have to reinvestigate the situation. Hopefully this is the last bit of maintenance we’ll have to deal with for awhile.
This information comes from Animal Crossing creator Katsuya Eguchi…
“To those Animal Crossing fans, I just would like them to know that there’s progress and we should be able to offer a new download movie soon. As for features and specs of the game, I can’t go into too much detail, but players will be able to arrange their furniture the way they like, and we’ll be offering new networking experiences.”
I truly hope Nintendo mixes things up with this Animal Crossing outing. I personally felt that the DS title was the best in the series since I enjoy that type of experience more on handhelds, but I was honestly getting tired of the franchise at that point. I haven’t even played City Folk since it just looks too darn similar. Here’s hoping that the networking options are much more robust on the 3DS.
