This information comes from Nintendo Power…

“To tell you the truth, we didn’t have any concrete plans for a sequel at that point (about a year before Dark Dawn was announced). We were really just excited to hear such passionate support for the series from everyone. Of course, we knew that there was a lot of demand for a Golden Sun sequel, but if the gaming media hadn’t been pushing so hard for it back then, Dark Dawn might not have happened at all! The opportunity to make a new Golden Sun reminded me just how hard it is to make RPGs. But when we finally did finish the arduous development process, it was tremendously satisfying. And I think we ended up with a game that will excite longtime fans and new players alike.” – producer Hiroyuki Takahashi

Capcom’s CEO Haruhiro Tsujimoto has provided a brief quote to Gemaga about the Monster Hunter series. Tsujimoto mentioned the 3DS throughout an interview with the magazine, as well as in the quote itself. While it seems as though there was some sort of indication that Monster Hunter will be coming to the 3DS, the manner in which he phrased his words wasn’t entirely clear. So keep that in mind while reading the quote below:

“3DS is releasing, too, so (it seems like) the time to switch to a new platform is coming.”

Given the fact that Tsujimoto directly included the words “3DS” in his statement, it would appear that the franchise will eventually make its way to the platform. I would think that the possibility would be quite likely in any case, but it’d be nice if a clearer quote was given!

Rayman 3D confirmed for 3DS

Posted 13 years ago by in 3DS, News | 0 comments

Last week, a rating for Rayman 3D was discovered on the OFLC website. Although it wasn’t entirely clear which platform the game was in development for, the 3DS seemed like a logical guess. Today the ESRB has confirmed that the title is indeed in the works for Nintendo’s upcoming handheld.

Unfortunately, unlike most listings on the ESRB website, a description was not provided with the rating. But considering the game has been rated in two territories, Rayman 3D will most likely turn out to be a game released sooner rather than later.
