Through the years, Nintendo players have taken on the role of mustachioed champions, amiable apes, intergalactic bounty hunters and heroes of time. Yet in the upcoming Fluidity game for the WiiWare™ downloadable video game service, players become a sloshing, flowing pool of water with an important mission. Dive into the amazing action and incredible challenges of Fluidity for 1,200 Wii Points™ on Dec. 6.

Players tilt, twist and flick the Wii Remote™ controller to splash and gush past challenging obstacles in Aquaticus, an illustrated encyclopedia. Players can unlock additional powers, such as the ability to freeze into a slick ice block that can shatter. Or players can boil the water and become a menacing vapor cloud with the power to shoot lightning. Players need all these abilities to conquer the dangerous chapters within Aquaticus.

Players face many obstacles on their free-flowing journey. They can win the day by defeating the evil Influence and its minions while navigating dangerous chapters. Hidden objects within Aquaticus’ pages unlock minigames that will test players’ skills.

It’s been a long time coming, but Inazuma Eleven will finally be released in Europe early next year. Yep – this is the first title for the DS. There’s a lot of catching up to do!

Nintendo will be releasing the title on January 28, 2011. At this point, there doesn’t seem to be an announcement in English. I’m assuming that the game will be released in all territories, however, as English screenshots have been released. Hopefully North America will receive a similar announcement soon.

This information comes from Camelot’s Hiroyuki Takahashi…

“I’m really sorry that I can’t offer any details on the future of the series. We would like to consider the possibility of sequels by assessing the feedback from fans and players.”

Well, I know of an interesting, new Nintendo handheld that will be released in a few months. Might Camelot consider making another Golden Sun for the 3DS? I hope so!

One big criticism the Spike TV Video Game Awards has received since its inception is the show’s presentation. As a result, it’s probably for the best that the folks in charge are mixing things up a bit. This time around, the VGAs will be directed and produced by Hamish Hamilton. Hamilton has experience working on the Oscars as well as the MTV Video Music Awards. Geoff Keigley seems confident in the director, stating on his Twitter account that fans will “see a bold new take on the show” when the VGAs air in December.

“This year’s VGAs will be directed/produced by Hamish Hamilton, who directed the Oscars and VMAs. You’ll see a bold new take on the show.”
