Rumor: Next James Bond game is Bloodstone
Posted 14 years ago by Brian in Rumors, Wii | 0 comments
HMV has listed James Bond: Bloodstone on their website, hinting that an announcement from Activision is on the way. The listing states that the game is in development for Wii, as well as the PS3 and Xbox 360. Strangely though, the title is supposedly in the racing genre. Bizarre Creations has been rumored to be developing a new James Bond project since 2008 that would mix driving elements with first-person or third-person gameplay. Might Bloodstone be that game? Only time will tell!

The best and worst Nintendo series of all time – Part 2
Posted 14 years ago by Brian in Features | 4 Comments
In the last part, I took a look at various Nintendo series of games and worked out based on Metacritic scores what the best five franchises were. This time we’re going to take a look at the absolute worst series.
My way of categorizing games seemed to confuse a few people so I’ll start this second and final part by clarifying a few things. I used Super Smash Bros.’ way of categorizing series as a basis, attributing each game to a specific character. While some games feature more than one character (like Mario vs. Donkey Kong) or some don’t play like other games in their series at all (Super Princess Peach), they all share similar attributes and take place in the same universe, so I’d classify all of them as “Mario” games. The Mario series in particular is so massive that I had to include some spin-offs like Mario Kart or Mario Party as separate franchises. I’m probably boring a lot of people, so anyone who wants to know more specifics, just read the rules I outlined in the last part.

Apologies for the low-quality of the trailer. I’m assuming it was taken directly off the Nintendo Channel, so when Nintendo uploads the video to the official site, it should be in higher-quality.

Japanese poll: Only 8.8 percent want to buy 3DS
Posted 14 years ago by Brian in 3DS, News | 6 Comments
The DS has sold incredibly well in Japan since it was released in 2004. That doesn’t mean that gamers are necessarily anticipating Nintendo’s next handheld, however.
1,059 people provided some responses in a goo Research poll and more than 42% of them said that they have purchased a DS. But when 702 of the participants were asked about the 3DS, only 8.8 percent indicated that they “want to buy” it. 55.8 percent, while interested in the system, stated that they do not plan on purchasing it for now and the remaining 35.3 percent just aren’t interested in the system at all.
What about you guys? Are you waiting to hear more about the 3DS before you really consider picking up the handheld? Or are you already convinced that you’ll be buying it when it comes out?
5th Cell not ruling out a Scribblenauts Wii
Posted 14 years ago by Austin in News, Wii | 2 Comments
“I think a Wii version could happen. It’s all about the fans – if the fans speak up and continue to buy and play the second one like they did the first one, I don’t see why we couldn’t make a case for a Wii version.” Scribblenauts creative director Jeremiah Slaczka
I would be completely in support of a Wii version of Scribblenauts! I think the game would lend itself really well to the IR pointer, and think of how many items you could hold on a Wii disk!
