For quite some time, it looked like the boxart for Epic Mickey would be pretty bland, and would only feature Mickey’s ears. GameStop, however, recently updated their game page, showing a new boxart for the title. I’d say the updated image looks much better. What do you guys think?
Shantae shakes and shimmies back into the gaming scene this October in her first adventure since the cult classic Shantae was released for the Game Boy Color™ in 2002. The all new sequel offers a powder keg of high octane, hair-whipping, hip shaking action, exclusively available on DSiWare™. WayForward sets the animation bar higher than ever with thousands of frames of animation, huge multi-sprite bosses, and a quest so big it’s bursting at the seams.
Product Summary: Guide “half-genie” Shantae through haunted wastes, burning deserts, enchanted forests, dripping caverns and deadly labyrinths. Discover magical attacks, brew zombie coffee, save golden babies, and master the art of belly-dancing to transform Shantae into more powerful creatures. Use all your powers to foil the nefarious lady pirate Risky Boots and save Sequin Land from certain doom!
According to a job listing found for animators, Aardman Animations is making a new television series based on Ubisoft’s Raving Rabbids franchise. Aardman is mostly known for their claymation work on Wallace & Gromit as well as other project, but the company released its first computer-animated creation, Flushed Away, in 2006. The listing noted that the show will be “a live action / CGI mix”, and indicates that it is an in-house production. That’s the only information we have at the moment, but we should hear additional news in the near future.
This information comes directly from a Nintendo of America customer service representative…
“Thank you for writing. There will be an announcement on September 29th, 2010 regarding the Nintendo 3DS, however, we have no details regarding what that announcement will be. Be sure to frequent our official website, www.nintendo.com, for all the latest Nintendo news and information.”
I honestly have no idea what will happen come next Wednesday. There has been so much speculation all over the place that it’s driving me nuts. Will this be only Japanese related information? Will new games be announced? Will this be a 3DS-only conference? So many questions! It’s a good thing that we’ll only have to wait a few more days to find out some details.
Update: Game Night is now over!
Below is an official statement from Nintendo of America in regards to Wii Remote Plus…
“We have nothing to announce at this time.”
For whatever reason, it appears Nintendo wants to keep this news a secret for the time being… Even though it’s not really a secret anymore. Interestingly, GameStop has removed the listing for FlingSmash/Wii Remote Plus. The game is coming out in about a month and a half, though, so Nintendo will have to say something soon!
“Huh? Oh, Gyakuten XX. I’m making it, with Mr. Takumi!” – Level-5’s Jiro Ishii’s Twitter
I positively love the Ace Attorney series, and while the Perfect Prosecutor spin-offs are very good games, I really feel the need to get back into the defendant’s booth and cross-examine some dudes! I really hope this ends up being true, because Level-5 is a great developer who I know could do wonderful things with the Ace Attorney name.
Side note: “Gyakuten XX” is the Japanese name for the series.
