Moon has been out in North America since January, but our friends over in Europe received their first chance to play the title this month. This leaves me with the perfect chance to provide my view on the game. Head past the break to read my rambling thoughts!

As things stands, there are four true console 3D Zelda games: Ocarina of Time, Majora’s Mask, Wind Waker, and Twilight Princess. However, a devoted fan of the series is looking to transform the very first Zelda into a 3D experience by using the powers of the Standard Waiver engine. Right now there is only a demo to mess with, but it looks as though there are plans implement effects and remake a few dungeons (or possibly the whole overworld). This is a neat little creation, but it wouldn’t be shocking if Nintendo were to swoop in and attempt to shut it down.

Are you looking forward to Scribblenauts? If not, you should be! Warner Bros. Interactive shared the official release date for the game and it’s actually not too far off. DS owners can nab the game when it hits stores September 15. It was previously announced that Scribblenauts has a planned date for September 25 in the UK.

Upcoming family-friendly action title has gone gold

Epicenter Studios and Conspiracy Entertainment are pleased to announce that “Real Heroes: Firefighter” for Wii™ has gone gold today, and is set to hit retail shelves on August 4. “Real Heroes: Firefighter” challenges players to take on the role of a rookie firefighter and strive to save lives and property from a series of fires raging through a major metropolitan area. “Real Heroes: Firefighter” is rated E10+, and will be released to retail at a family-friendly price point (MSRP – $29.99 USD), with a percentage of proceeds being donated to the Firefighter Cancer Support Network.

Developed by Epicenter Studios, “Real Heroes: Firefighter” emphasizes non-violent, game-integral puzzles and challenges that mirror the on-the-fly choices firefighters face every day. Featuring Epicenter’s proprietary “Thinking Fire” technology, blazes will seem almost alive as they not only attack structures, potential victims and firefighters, but also cause unexpected changes to the environments that will suddenly alter the player’s options and strategies. No two scenarios will play out the same way in “Real Heroes: Firefighter.”
