Here’s the full maintenance schedule for the week of July 30, 2023:
The Switch version of Brotato is almost ready to go, and the eShop provides a final release date. Seaven Studio will be publishing it on August 3, 2023.
You may recall that Brotato was announced for Switch during an Indie World Showcase earlier this year. We initially had a general 2023 launch window.

First week sales for Pikmin 4 in Japan were reported this week, with the game selling just over 400,000 copies. You might be interested to hear that this is the best performance for the series so far, and it’s not even close.
When the first Pikmin hit GameCube back in 2001, it sold 101,299 copies in its first week. Pikmin 2 did better, but still only moved 161,930 units back in 2004. Pikmin 3 then took a step back with its Wii U launch at 102,188 copies (not counting digital). Pikmin 3 Deluxe later saw its Switch launch in 2020 with 171,349 units sold (again without digital).
The original Cook, Serve, Delicious is heading to Switch, Vertigo Gaming just announced. The port is due out this fall.
Cook, Serve, Delicious! 2!! came to Switch in April 2019. It was followed by Cook, Serve, Delicious! 3?! in October 2020.

It was this time last year that a couple of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 figures for Mio were revealed, including a scale figure. Now thanks to WonHobby 37, we’ve gotten our first proper look.
You can see the new Mio figure above. Right now it’s in prototype form, so it’s lacking color. The production process will continue to move along and we’ll eventually get a more final look.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will be wrapping up its Booster Course Pass later this year, and that leaves us at an interesting point with the series. Mario Kart Tour will still be going on, but many will be wondering what will come next with the console games. It’s a safe bet at this point that Nintendo is holding off on introducing a brand new title until the Switch’s successor launches. With Mario Kart 8 first hitting Wii U in 2014, it’ll be at least a decade since the last totally original title.
Plenty of people have ideas as to what Nintendo should do with Mario Kart in the future. Some think the next game should go all out and bring in even more franchises outside of the immediate Mario space. Others think something like a more involved single-player campaign would be a good idea. Needless to say, although Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has a ton of content and many believe it’s the franchise’s best, there are still plenty of directions Nintendo should go in.
So what do you think Nintendo should do next with Mario Kart? What are your ideas? Let us know in the comments below.
