505 Games rules out Terraria for Wii U
Posted on 10 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U | 37 Comments
Terrarria won’t be coming to Wii U, according to 505 Games.
The publisher ruled out any potential plans to bring the title to Nintendo’s console on its official forums. 505 Games said, “there are other factors at play that prevent it from happening and we don’t expect that to change any time soon unfortunately.”
The company’s full comments are as follows:
We do not have any plans to bring Terraria to Wii U and it is not in development. Sorry. While the control mechanism may be nicely translated (agreed on that end), there are other factors at play that prevent it from happening and we don’t expect that to change any time soon unfortunately.
How to Survive may finally be hitting the European eShop next week

After a fairly long wait, How to Survive is finally making its way to Wii U. The European eShop has the game listed for a June 5 launch – that’d be next week. These listings aren’t always 100% accurate, though they’re spot on more often than not.

How to Survive’s launch came and gone in late October, but the game still hasn’t made its way to Wii U. The game’s absence has led some to question whether it’d ever land on the eShop, but we can confirm that 505 Games’ original plans haven’t changed.
The publisher told us that How to Survive is still very much in the works for Wii U. It remains in development, and according to 505 Games, will release on Nintendo’s console next year.

505 Games cancels Ashes Cricket 2013

505 Games has pulled the plug on Ashes Cricket 2013 even though the game showed up briefly on Steam a few days ago. It was originally planned for release in July, but was pushed back to November due to quality reasons.
Now 505 games has cancelled Ashes Cricket 2013 entirely. That means all versions of the game – including Wii U – won’t be hitting store shelves.
505 Games shared the following statement:

Update: Retracted – Creator claims How to Survive rips off Kickstarter project Roam

Update: Sharr has since retracted his original Kickstarter update – you can find the latest post here.
Earlier this year, a small indie team launched a Kickstarter for “Roam”. The survival simulator draws quite a few similarities to the recently-released How to Survive. Creator Ryan Sharr now claims in a Kickstarter update that 505 Games and Eko Software carried out ‘blatant theft’ for use in their own project.
It’s true that Roam and How to Survive share many of the same ideas, but Sharr isn’t making accusations out of the blue. Games do tend to share similar concepts from time to time, but 505 Games actually contacted Sharr during the Kickstarter campaign in hopes of arranging a publishing deal. It was refused, and 505 Games ended up announcing – and launching – How to Survive just a few months later.
Sharr has not yet determined how he will proceed. You can find his full notice after the break, which should give you better insight into the situation.
