With the original Windjammers set to officially launch on Switch later today, developer and publisher DotEmu has shared a new trailer out of Japan for the classic NEOGEO title.

Windjammers 2

Windjammers 2 was announced for Switch not too long ago. There hasn’t been too much information floating around, but a very early version was playable at PAX West 2018.

Two characters were playable in the Windjammers 2. The slow but powerful Wessel was included along with a new character who sacrifices strength for speed.

SEGA’s classic Streets of Rage series is seeing a revival with Streets of Rage 4, Lizardcube, Guard Crush Games and Dotemu have announced. A release date and platforms have not been confirmed as of yet.

Typically we hold off on news about brand new titles unless we receive confirmation about it being bound for a Nintendo system. However, given the companies involved here, we do believe a Switch release will happen. This game comes from Dotemu and Lizardcube – the publisher and developer of Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap respectively. Considering how well that title did on the eShop, it seems certain that Streets of Rage 4 will be on Switch.

Windjammers

This past weekend, DotEmu revealed that Windjammers is planned for Switch. The game will be available digitally later this year.

We now have a more proper announcement from DotEmu. It’s confirmed that Windjammers will be playable at Gamescom 2018 this month, and it will officially carry the same features as last year’s PlayStation 4 and PS Vita versions including online rankings and a number of modes.
