Numerous players are reporting issues with Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl following this week’s firmware update for Nintendo Switch 2.

Note that both Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch are now at version 21.0.0. However, we can’t quite confirm at present if the same issues are happening on the previous console. We’ll update this post if that changes.

How to complete Brilliant Diamond Shining Pearl Pokedex Pokemon Home

Recently, Pokemon Home began two exclusive distributions: Shiny Manaphy and Shiny Enamorus, which can only be obtained by completing the Pokedex categories for Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl and Pokemon Legends Arceus, respectively. Normally, you’d have to Google locations for every single Pokemon and look at all sorts of resources in order to finish the Pokedex – but we’ve done all that for you and organized all the information you’ll need in one place. If you’re looking to finish your BDSP Pokedex to redeem a Shiny Manaphy, look no further.

One Piece Odyssey

April 15: Bandai Namco is bringing One Piece Odyssey to Switch, the company just announced. It’s set to launch on July 26, 2024.

One Piece Odyssey is a turn-based RPG that first came out last year. Ilca, perhaps best known for Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, worked on the game.

What went wrong with Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

Whether you like Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl or hate them, you can probably agree that something did indeed go wrong during their development. Though the games do have some merit as faithful Sinnoh remakes, many dedicated Pokemon players consider BDSP among the worst of the main series entries. Today, we’re taking a look at the state the games were launched in, the kind of content that was added to them via updates, and how the games hold up in 2024.

Pokemon Works

The Pokemon Company has established a new Pokemon Works subsidiary, and fans are speculating about what it could mean for the future.

At least at the moment, there’s not much to go on. Pokemon Works is only known to be operating in Shinjuku, and is in the same building as Ilca. Ilca, of course, is behind the Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl Switch remakes, which launched in 2021.
