Last month, news leaked about Nintendo-themed items in Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer. In December, for Japan at least, these will finally be available.
Those with copies of Happy Home Designer can receive Nintendo consoles like Wii U and New 3DS, plus various store displays starting on December 1. The different items are pictured above. We should eventually be getting this content in the west as well, but a release date hasn’t been announced just yet.
Ushio and Tora, Magi collaborations coming to Monster Hunter X

Believe it or not, there are still new collaborations being announced for Monster Hunter X.
The first one is based on Ushio and Tora, which net players a special “Beast Spear” Insect Glaive. Tora becomes your Kinsect and your hair grows very long like Ushio’s when the spear is equipped. This will be available on January 27 through a quest.
Also planned for Monster Hunter X is a collaboration for Magi. It’ll provide players with a pair of weapons when they finish a quest. Capcom will begin the event in March.
Take a look at the latest Monster Hunter X footage below.

Nintendo of Japan’s online store is now selling Wii U Gamepads
Posted on 9 years ago by Matt(@OnePunchMaz) in News, Wii U | 13 Comments
Nintendo originally announced near the system’s launch that you would eventually be able to buy the Wii U Gamepad separately and use two of them with the system. Well, support for more than one Gamepad at the time still hasn’t happened and probably will never happen, but you can in fact now buy a new Gamepad directly from Nintendo of Japan’s online store.
The standalone Gamepad costs 13,824 yen. If your old Gamepad broke and your warranty expired and you don’t want to pay for repairs, buying a new one is now an option. Note, however, that the Gamepad itself is region-locked, so it won’t work with your PAL or NTSC Wii U.

No subspecies in Monster Hunter X
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 4 Comments
In this month’s issue of Nintendo Dream, the developers of Monster Hunter X confirmed that the game won’t have any subspecies.
It’s stated in the magazine that “it depends on what exactly you consider a subspecies”. As an example though, monsters listed as “Rathalos Subspecies” and other “subspecies” won’t be included.
Talking about the reasoning behind this, Capcom said that it wanted to add more variety of regular monsters instead of adding more monster subspecies.

Project X Zone 2 sold through 60% of its initial shipment in Japan
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 12 Comments
According to Dengeki’s own sales numbers, Project X Zone 2 sold just over 37,000 copies in its first week in Japan (fairly close to Media Create’s figure of 41,000 copies). The site also says that the game managed to sell through 60 percent of its initial shipment.
So what should we make of these numbers? Well, Dengeki has the original Project X Zone at 78,000 copies sold in its first week, and lifetime sales of 140,000 units total. Sales for the sequel do seem to be a bit sluggish thus far. If the performance of the first Project X Zone is anything to go by, the second entry may end up doing better in the west.
