Dragon Quest X crossover with Final Fantasy XI and A Realm Reborn begins this week

Dragon Quest X’s collaboration with the Final Fantasy series begins tomorrow.
Final Fantasy XI kicks things off, with Shantotto visiting after one of her magical experiments did not go as planned. Dragon Quest X users will be tasked with helping Shantotto obtain items for her chocobo including Gysahl Greens. Shantotto will be available through February 12.
Kuplu Kopo from Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will join Dragon Quest X on February 15. The character ends up in the MMORPG after getting lost, and players will need to gather a bouquet of colorful flowers for the creature. Kuplu Kopo’s stay in Dragon Quest X lasts until March 12.
Finally, Square Enix intends to add special Final Fantasy emotes such as Shantotto’s laugh and a Cactaur pose.

A few new details have come in for Magi: The Kingdom of Magic. You can find a roundup of the latest information below.
– Includes the Sinbad arc and Magnostadt arcs
– Can also play through a parallel world story where you can create your own party
– The mode comes with original conversations between characters
– Action RPG
– Bring three different characters into a dungeon
– Aladdin, Alibaba, Morgiana, Hakuryuu Ren, Titus Alexius, Yamraiha, Sharrkan, Mu Alexius, and Ithnan are playable
– Can bring one support character
– Support characters include Drakon, Pisti or Spartos.
– Hitting Japan on February 13

Rocket Company is working on “Kumamon Bomber: Puzzle de Kumamon Gymnastics” for the 3DS. Here’s what we know as of now:
– From Rocket Company
– Based on Japan’s prefectural mascot, Kumamon from the Kumamoto Prefecture
– Bejeweled clone
– Kumamon and the player are traveling throughout Japan
– Experience Japan’s sights, sounds and festivals
– Help enliven and bring energy back to all 47 prefectures of Japan
– Includes interesting tidbits about the foods from various places as well
– March 13 launch

Culture Brain bringing Ultra Baseball Card Battle to 3DS

Culture Brain is readying “Ultra Baseball Card Battle” for 3DS. It’s due out in Japan next month for 5,229 yen. We’re still waiting for specific information, so stay tuned for additional updates.
New Super Mario 3D World plushies heading to Japan in April

Japan will be receiving new plushies based on Super Mario 3D World in mid-April. SANEI will make Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Toad products available in their Cat Suit forms. Mario and Luigi plushies will come in small and medium sizes.

Kirby Triple Deluxe Sound Selection CD out now on Club Nintendo Japan

With the launch of Kirby Triple Deluxe in Japan, Nintendo has prepared a special Sound Selection CD for Club Nintendo. Those who purchase the 3DS title and register their copy can obtain the item for 250 points as opposed to 400. In total, the CD come with 46 tracks and 3 bonus tracks.
