Level-5

Level-5 issued another new commercial for the upcoming 4.0 update for Yo-kai Watch 3. We’ve attached the clip below.

The first scan of Yo-kai Watch Busters 2 has emerged from this month’s issue of CoroCoro. A few tidbits are shared inside.

The full title for Yo-kai Watch Busters 2 is “Yo-kai Watch Busters 2: Treasure Legend Banbaraya”. It’s set on Karakuri Island, where the treasure of a pirate king rests. The island holds holds extravagent treasures and dangerous yo-kai.

Again, platforms for Yo-kai Watch Busters 2 have not been confirmed. But given the series’ history on 3DS, we’d be shocked if it didn’t end up on a Nintendo platform.

Nintendo announced a short while ago that Yo-kai Watch 2: Psychic Specters is planned for September 29 in North America. Similarly, Europe just received the same date as well. We have the latest trailer below.

September is looking like a busy month for 3DS. Monster Hunter Stories, Metroid: Samus Returns, and Yo-kai Watch 2: Psychic Specters are arriving within just a few weeks of each other.

Previously, Nintendo had given Psychic Specters a vague “Fall 2017” launch window in North America. We now have a final date, as it’s now confirmed for September 29.

Yo-kai Watch 2 originally came out last year. Psychic Specters offers new features, including new Yo-kai to befriend, exclusive quests, and the ability to hop on the Hexpress to a new resort area. Those who purchased Yo-kai Watch 2: Bony Spirits or Fleshy Souls can transfer their save data to pick up where they left off.

Splatoon 2 wasn’t the only notable game to have released in Japan last week. Layton’s Mystery Journey also saw its debut. Dengeki reports that the game sold through 75 percent of its initial shipment.

That’s not too shabby of a number, and we also have to remember that the game was distributed on mobile. Dengeki does point out though that first week sales were less than Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy’s debut of 128,000 at launch. It went on to sell 283,000 copies on the whole.
