Square Enix hosted a live stream today to celebrate the launch of Minna de Waiwai! Spelunker in Japan. The full recording, with footage from the final build, can be seen below.

Square Enix published Minna de Waiwai! Spelunker on the Japanese Switch eShop earlier today. We’ve posted some footage of it below.

With Minna de Waiwai! Spelunker releasing in Japan later this month, Square Enix has prepared a demo for the game. Players can get a taste of the upcoming title by downloading the trial from the eShop.

Square Enix’s demo offers the beginning of World 1. Solo and multiplayer with up to four players are included, with TV and tabletop modes supported. You’re limited to local multiplayer here, but the full version has online play.

And remember: as long as you have a Japanese Nintendo Account, you should be able to access the Japanese eShop and download the demo.

Square Enix has released the first proper gameplay trailer for Minna de Waiwai! Spelunker on Nintendo Switch, giving us a good look at the game in action:

Minna de Waiwai! Spelunker will be released on Japan on April 20th; a Western release date has not yet been announced.

Minna de Waiwai! Spelunker, a cave exploration game, was previous announced for a Switch release in Japan, and Square Enix has now announced that it will release on April 20. The game will see players diving deep into various caves for treasure, assembling items from scattered pieces, and befriending pets. The game will cost 4,980 yen.
