Although we’ll have to wait a bit longer for Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny in the west, the game came out in Japan last week. Get a look at some footage in the video below.

Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny is out now for Switch in Japan. The game is planned for Summer 2021 in the west.

Nippon Ichi Software recently announced that a detective simulation game was coming to Switch in Japan. Now, a trailer has been released to show off what the game will offer.

This 3 minute trailer gives an overview of the characters and the world that the player will be a part of in this game. It can be viewed in its entirety below.

Tantei Bokumetsu will release on May 27, 2021 in Japan. An English release has not been announced at this time.

Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny

A new update has been rolled out for Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny. Here is what changed:

Nippon Ichi Software recently began teasing a new project with a mysterious website. This week’s Famitsu reveals the game to be Tantei Bokumetsu, which roughly translates to Detective Elimination.

Here’s what we know thus far, courtesy of Gematsu:

The newest issue of Weekly Famitsu has dropped, and with it comes the schedule for character releases via DLC for Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny. Each character is priced at 500 yen, the exception being Asagi, who will be available to players for free. Additional colors will be available for players who purchase all of the characters. R-Type Final 2

This spring sees the launch of R-Type Final 2. For Japan, the release date is announced as April 29th per Weekly Famitsu– whereas we are still awaiting a western date. Another trailer has rolled out from Nippon Ichi Software for Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny. The manga-inspired opening leads into the protagonist and his little sister’s explanations of new elements of gameplay: Auto-Battle and Auto-Repeat. Following this, the duo goes over more familiar Disgaea mechanics, like the Carnage Dimension. Check out the trailer for yourself below:

Nippon Ichi Software has released a new trailer for Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny in its ongoing series of promotional videos. This will mark the fifth trailer in the series, and it gives a good preview of the story of the game as well as some of the characters.

The four and a half minute video is entirely Japanese, but it still gives a good preview of the game regardless of the language. Check out the full trailer below.

Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny is scheduled to release on Switch on January 28, 2021 in Japan, and summer 2021 for North America.

Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny is slated for Switch in Japan on January 28. Fans in North America and Europe will be getting the game this summer. We’ll keep you posted on the demo’s availability in the west.

Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny

Ahead of its release in Japan next week, a demo has gone live for Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny on the Japanese Switch eShop. It will presumably be offered in the west closer to the overseas launch.

In the demo, players can experience the opening sections of the game and its new systems. It’s possible to bring over save data to the full version.

Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny will debut on Switch in Japan on January 28. The western release is set for Summer 2021.
