Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny

In a video message today, Nippon Ichi Software president Sohei Niikawa announced that the Disgaea series has surpassed a total five million copies sold. Additionally, there are plans to continue the series. The company hopes to consider feedback stemming from Disgaea 6 for the future.

Niikawa noted:

Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny has gained two more characters as part of its DLC. Killia and Usalia are the latest additions, and can be obtained now.

Heads up for Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny players: a new update is now available. NIS America released version 1.0.3 today.

Disgaea 6 Fuka and Desco

Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny has added two more characters as part of its DLC. Fuka, along with Desco, have both joined the game.

In celebration of the game’s western release, NIS America has shared a new launch trailer for Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny. Watch it below.

We don’t often see third-party games represented on My Nintendo, but a few new rewards have popped up for Disgaea 6. Fans can spend their points on a digital manga and wallpapers.

The wallpapers should be self-explanatory. As for the 21-page “Tales of Super Reincarnation” manga, it was written by Hirofumi Neda and covers Zed’s other adventures through various universes as he prepares for his showdown against the Ultimate God of Destruction.

Disgaea originally debuted in Japan back in 2003, with Disgaea: Hour of Darkness, which has seen re-release and a DS port. Each of the games adheres to series staples, with colorful underworld units and pixel graphics. They’re mostly managed in an underworld hub, with combat being experienced in a variety of levels and worlds, each with a distinct style. As a tactical roleplaying game, Disgaea has become a staple series in the genre, with multiple games, spin-offs, a manga series, and an anime under its belt. Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny Hololive

NIS America has shared a new Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny trailer focusing on Hololive. The DLC will be entirely free to download at launch.
