Ratalaika Games

About 25 minutes of footage from the Wii U version of Plantera is now available to watch on YouTube. You can check it out below.

Plantera was already confirmed for launch on the European eShop next week. Ratalaika Games has now followed up about plans for North America, and we can now say that both regions will have the title on February 9.

Plantera will cost $4.99 / €4.99. Cross-buy is supported, so if you buy it on Wii U, you’ll get the 3DS version free (and same goes in the opposite direction).

Plantera is due out soon on both Wii U and 3DS as an eShop title. Ratalaika Games published a trailer today, which we have below.

Ratalaika Games may not be a name that everyone is familiar with, but they’ve been porting a few games to the eShop since last year. Across Wii U and 3DS, you can find releases such as Defend your Crypt, Blasting Agent: Ultimate Edition, and Twin Robots. Plantera is also due out very soon and could be the neatest of the bunch.

Aside from Wii U and 3DS, Ratalaika Games might be setting its sights on Switch development as well. On its website, the system is specifically mentioned as a platform the company ports to.

We also followed up with Ratalaika directly on this to find out if any active Switch projects are on the way. The response was interesting, as CEO Adrian Vega told us that information cannot be currently disclosed due to the company having partners in Europe/Japan, and he is not authorized to speak about games that have not yet been announced to be in active porting to consoles. We were further told that he may have something to share at the end of this month.

The main takeaway here is that Ratalaika is definitely interested in Switch. Even if we don’t see any titles from them immediately, you can definitely expect new ports down the road.

Ratalaika Games is wrapping up updates for two of its previous eShop releases. Defend your Crypt and Blasting Agent: Ultimate Edition will be getting patches in early 2017.

Defend your Crypt’s update sounds fairly substantial. New maps will be added, and tweaks will be implemented. The update should be submitted to lot check very soon.

As for Blasting Agent, we know that Russian will be included as a supported language. It’ll be submitted in early January, and Ratalaika is also working on a Japanese version of the game.

Plantera is heading soon to Wii U / 3DS, and the video below proves that. 10 minutes of footage is now available from the Wii U eShop version. Expect a release date soon.

League of Evil will soon be gracing the Wii U and 3DS eShops courtesy of Ratalaika Games’ porting efforts. While we wait for it, view a new trailer below.

Earlier in the year, indie developer VaragtP put out a simulation game Plantera. Ratalaika Games is now porting it over to both Wii U and 3DS.

The company confirmed on Twitter:

The objective of Plantera is to create your own garden and grow it with new plants, bushes, trees, and animals. Helpers will eventually give you assistance as your garden grows by picking up things and harvesting your plants – even when you’re not playing. However, other critters will invade your garden and will need to be taken down.

Here’s a trailer for the game:
