Major Minor’s Majestic March designer critical of Nintendo during early Wii development

You may recall a bit of a niche music game that released on Wii titled Major Minor’s Majestic March. Masaya Matsuura, who worked on games like Vib-Ribbon and PaRappa the Rapper, was one of the main designers involved with the project.
Matsuura reflected on Major Minor’s Majestic March in a recent issue of EDGE and had some criticisms for Nintendo. He said that the company didn’t do a good job at explaining the Wii Remote’s functionality and said “there was a lack of transparency that hurt developers like us.” Along with “adding new and subtle features” Nintendo was also “amending the design as time went on, which changed the scope for us.”

Posted on 1 year ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Let's Talk | 0 comments
With the Sora amiibo releasing yesterday, that wraps up all of the figures for Super Smash Bros. That line alone offers nearly 100 different products. There are also many other IPs and dedicated franchise with amiibo including Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Metroid, Animal Crossing, and more.
Aside from how many amiibo are out there, something that may surprise you is that it’s turning ten years old this year. It’ll be a decade of the figures as of November.
Since we’re coming up on a big milestone here, we wanted to take a moment to talk about amiibo. Which one is your favorite? Let us know in the comments, and feel free to share any other thoughts you have about amiibo as well.
How to get Shiny Deoxys before Pokemon Bank closes
Posted on 1 year ago by Ethan in 3DS, GBA, Guides | 0 comments
A little while ago, we wrote a big list of Shiny Pokemon that will become unobtainable after Pokemon Bank closes. Shiny Deoxys is one such Pokemon, and it’s only obtainable via a limited-time event in Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen for the Game Boy Advance. If you’re looking to catch a Shiny Deoxys for yourself, we’ve put together a guide on how to hunt it prior to Pokemon Bank’s closure.
It’s important to note that Pokemon Bank does not currently have an announced closure date. Online services for Wii U and 3DS are set to end on April 8, but Pokemon Bank’s servers will remain open “until further notice”. That being said, we don’t expect them to be open for much longer than an additional year, if that. If there are any Shiny Pokemon you want to hunt in advance, now’s a great time to start.

Splatoon 3 Splatfest guide: weapons, tips, and more
Posted on 1 year ago by Ethan in Guides, Switch | 0 comments
Splatoon 3’s next Splatfest is on the horizon, and we’ve put together a general guide aimed at beginners and casual players.
Splatoon 3 hosts two kinds of events: Splatfests and Big Runs. Generally speaking, we only get one of these events per month. This time around, the Splatfest’s theme is which weekend day is best: Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. Despite the theme seeming a little bit trivial, these Splatfests are no joke: they’re arguably the most competitive events the game has to offer. If you consider yourself a more casual Splatoon player, don’t let that competitiveness intimidate you! There are still ways you can contribute to a team, and today’s guide will help you make the most of the Splatfest even if you aren’t a pro player.
