Update (9/8): The rhythm game Voez is receiving another free update on Switch. Flyhigh Works and Rayark have announced version 1.11, which is adding fifty more songs to the game. That makes a total of 290 tracks to play through when the update launches next week on September 15.

To celebrate the Pokemon Masters Tournament in the anime, Ash’s current team is being distributed via event code for Pokemon Sword and Shield. Despite it being targeted in Japan, it seems players worldwide can take advantage. Whilst Ash’s Gengar will remain live until September 15, Ash’s Sirfetch’d is now being distributed for the next two weeks.

The creature comes in at level 80 and has the moves Meteor Assault, Brutal Swing, Fury Cutter, and Detect. It has the ability Steadfast and also comes holding a Leek.

With its release on Switch today, Nintendo have shared a short launch trailer to promote Splatoon 3, giving players a quick look at the cast of characters and gameplay.

It has been some time since we heard about Sixtar Gate: STARTRAIL, a rhythm game which was due to be released on Switch last year. Today, publisher CFK, along with developers Lyrebird Studio and Magical Works, announced that the game would receive a physical release on Switch when it arrives, and shared a new trailer. Currently the game does not have a release date.

Announced earlier this year, Publisher CFK, along with developer Project Moreum, have announced that Shutter Nyan! Enhanced Edition will be releasing on Switch eShop on October 20, and have shared a new trailer to showcase the 2D side-scrolling action game.

Details for title update version 1.1.0. for Splatoon 3 have been released ahead of its launch tomorrow on Switch. This update will make some changes to Hero Mode, most notably adding Photo Mode in select locations, as well as making features that require an internet connection to be used available. Full details below:

Splatoon 3 releases on Switch at the end of this week, and Nintendo have shared another new music track. Titled “Tentacle to the Metal”, this is the second single from Damp Socks feat. Off the Hook, following the earlier released “Candy Coated Rocks”.

Nintendo describes the track as “Inspired by thrilling car chases, the way the vocals intertwine with the rolling beat make it a great tune to listen to whilst swimming through ink!”

SD Gundam Battle Alliance review

The SD (Super Deformed) Gundam spinoff franchise has never achieved the same renown as its parent franchise outside of Japan – where at one point it actually eclipsed the popularity of the main franchise in terms of sales for a brief time – but has nonetheless managed to establish itself as a presence in its own right over the years, and has spawned several video games. SD Gundam Battle Alliance marks the third SD Gundam title to release on the Switch, but the first to release on the console in the west. Was it worth the wait?

Voice of Cards: The Beasts of Burden, the third game in the Voice of Cards series, has been announced, and will release digitally for Switch via the eShop on September 13. The game was previously leaked via a Playstation Store listing last month, and has now been confirmed for release on Switch by Square Enix. As with the previous two entries in the series, the game is an RPG stylized with cards to mimic traditional tabletop storytelling, and will be a standalone experience with no connection to prior works.
